  1. Troubador, your problems could be related or not. I believe the instrument lights would be the easiest place to start/check since you could easily check for power at the park fuse, then the instrument lights fuse. A poor/bad/missing ground could cause any direct current electrical problem. The wipers share the same ground as the instrument lights. Do no panel lights illuminate including climate control lamps and your transfer case shifter light? Hopefully you have pulled a couple of bulbs and confirmed they are good. To add to ImpulseRocket, the hazard switch is part of the turn signal switch. What isn't making sense is only the drivers side hazards working. That would lead me to check passenger bulbs, then clean the sockets. Safety first...no hot swapping of electrical components. Turn power OFF, then disconnect/connect cables/connectors/components. For turn signals, equipment condition: ignition switch in "accessory", left turn signal on, hazards off - start from turn/bu fuse verify good and power exists there with multimeter or test light. If your D/S hazards are working as you mentioned, swap the hazard flasher and turn signal flasher to see if the same conditions exist (no turn signals and D/S hazards). I would also confirm if power is there using a multimeter or test light. From there, you need to chase the power to terminal "L" on the C156 connector to the turn/hazard switch assembly. Check to ensure it is securely connected first. If you have power at terminal "L", replace the turn/hazard switch assembly. Question on wipers....do you have intermittent wipers? I have had two clutch master cylinders leak onto my fuse box, some of the fuses disintegrated when I tried to remove them. I certainly cleaned my fuse box to get that mess off things and remove the gunk like exists on the C101 connector.
  2. Power for the instrument lights goes.... park fuse (10 amp) to headlight switch to Inst Lps fuse (5 amp) to lamps. Ground is located under the left hand side of the dash near the brake release handle. Go to www.cruiser54.com. Look at mostly Renix tips, number 18 for a good picture of where that is. Recommend you look at everything he has and follow his tips as you work on your truck.
  3. The dash lights are dimmed by rotating the headlight switch. Double check that they aren't just "off" from being dimmed all the way.
  4. I wouldn't stress about it. It may be warmer on that side and give your A/C (if you have it) another heat load to deal with on a hot summer day. Someone may have pulled up the carpet in the past (probably for water under the carpet) and found the insulation a wet mess (it took several days for mine to dry out). Obviously, they tossed it. I am pretty sure many have done so. I believe someone smarter than me designed the truck and put it there for a reason, that is why I saved mine.
  5. The Comanche concept seems......chick-ish. Nukizer.....something about the grille....too small? That blue thing, is it a Ford, Chevy, Dodge? They all look the same. Yuck.

    Rock Auto?

The only bad experience I had with Rock Auto was my own fault. I ordered the wrong brake shoes for my truck (didn't pay attention) Cost was so cheap, it would cost more to ship back the wrong part than I would receive back. I have installed parts from them on my truck and my son's Hyundai Accent, no issues.

  8. Unless something is terribly wrong with the current jute padding, why not simply reuse it? Is is attached to the carpet backing by drops of adhesive. You can easily separate the padding from the carpet with a razor blade. You will also want to save the fiberglass padding that wrapped in plastic which is on the passenger side. It is a heat shield for the exhaust system which runs down that side. If the plastic has deteriorated, get some heavy plastic and re-wrap it, since that stuff seems to hold water really well (just in case you get water under your carpet/vinyl).
  9. See if the wire(s) are broken off from the electrical connector for your brake light switch which is activated by your brake pedal. Or hanging on by one or two wire strands? That was my problem.
  10. If you haven't worked your way through many of Cruiser54's tips, I highly recommend you do. A simple search of this forum will bring them up, or go to Cruiser54.com. I also recommend replacing your EGR valve, since, if it is the original, the spring in the transducer (round-ish black plastic item immediately before the actual valve) has likely rusted into nothingness. But start at the beginning.....Cruiser's tips.
  11. The only "driver's side sag" I am aware of is the door.
  12. Cleaning all the contact points inside the light solved my problems also.
  13. I have a similar problem with both of my windows. I have seen Dorman window regulator tape, part number 74413, on Autozone.com. I have been thinking about giving it a shot since it is priced at $15. Something for you to consider. Hopefully someone will chime in if they have tried it.
  14. Mine was rear window primarily. There was also evidence of water coming through the radio antenna cable through hole. The rubber grommet had shrunk over the years and it simply fell out. Add broken up fender liners in the front wheel wells to helping allow water in antenna cable passage.
