  1. Late reply here, but it as the CPS all along! Thank you all for your help.
  2. I've been doing a lot of cleaning under the hood and haven't struck gold yet. I'm thinking the next thing to tackle is the CPS. Getting to it looks like a great time! C101 was a sludgy mess and I got that cleaned up. I can hear the fuel pump cut and the injectors are getting fuel. On another note, would rotting hoses be enough to keep the engine from starting? Either way they're getting replaced For those asking, it's the 4L straight 6.
  3. Thanks gents! Looks like I'm going to have a field day going through that list
  4. Hey guys! I've got an open-ended question that is probably a little too broad, so apologies in advance (breaking the rules by apologizing!) I have a 1987 Jeep Comanche base model that randomly stopped working on me a few weeks ago. Haven't had the time to troubleshoot, but I'm not too sure where to start. Background is that it never had any real big issues until now. I was driving back home and the power randomly cut out while driving forcing me to pull over. Electronics and all still worked but the car was getting no power. It started and died a few more times before it finally gave out and I got towed home. Now it is looking very clean in the front yard but not going anywhere. It tries to crank but doesn't start. I've done basic things like clean grounds, new battery, checked fuses and relays and that's pretty much where my knowledge ends. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? I'm happy to answer more questions if that helps diagnose!
  5. It's a 1987 base model and the brake system hasn't been upgraded. Bulbs are Philips 1157 (if I read correctly). It's weird that they randomly stopped working since they've always worked. I'm just going to have to play the where does the power stop game for now.
  6. Hey everyone. Today I was lucky enough to be pulled over by the sheriff because my brake lights aren't working. I now have a fix it ticket and I'm stumped on how to fix the brake lights. All the lights work (turn signal, hazards, running light, etc) except the brake lights. I checked the fuse box and it looked like there was no problems. I took apart the light fixture and all the bulbs are doing their job. I've read that it could be the turn signal switch or even the brake light switch. I'm not sure which one I should give a shot and are there any other things that could lead to the same problem? Thanks
  7. Cleaned the inside of the fixture, and now they work like new. Thank you guys very much :D
  8. Thanks guys for the help and suggestion. I'll see if some cleaning will do the trick, if not, I'll just modify the lights
  9. I was replacing the bulbs in the courtesy lights and I ran into some troubles. I tested the light fixture and power was coming through it, so I thought I only needed to get some new bulbs. I went to the local O'Reilly and got Sylvania 6418 lights. I got the new bulbs in and the courtesy lights still don't turn on. Any suggestions on what to look at or how to fix it?
