  1. What makes you think just changing to leaf spring will prevent death wobble? Hint: It won't. Death wobble can be caused (or "induced") by a number of factors, but the one thing certain about it is that it affects solid axle trucks and doesn't happen with IFS. The reason it doesn't affect IFS is that it is fundamentally the result of a harmonic, allowing oscillations in one front wheel to be transmitted to the other. If the frequency is right (meaning "wrong"), the oscillations hit a harmonic of the suspension and become mutually reinforcing. This can happen with either coil springs or leaf springs. If the primary purpose of going to leaves is to avoid death wobble ... forget it. You're on the wrong tack. Control Arm bushings are the only thing I can think of coming from coils to cause death wobble. Are bad tire balancing effects considered DW? (Sorry if this looks like a threadjack, just a quick question.)
  2. That's so splucking badass.
  3. I like the paint, being flat with color. Are you patching where the flare was, or moving it up? Is that hose underneath mocked up for a 6" exhaust tip, cause that'd be sweet on the 2.5 :brows:
  4. Only gauge my Yota has is a speedo. I just fill it up every few days with gas. As for the MJ: Image Not Found Oooooh, yeah, full cluster. Are the Autometer ones small enough to fit?
  5. Loooong springs too! I like long springs. I think the grill and headlights look great, and I think the idea of combining AMC trucks is cool. But like I said, somebody's been :chillin:
  6. Does it have a party table? Cause I love to see the girlies dancin. If not, that's okay. Pics, pics!!!! :needpics:
  7. Aww, CW, I was hopin you'd jack it off the ground like 2 feet and drop it on somethin. Are you looking for sliders or nerf bars?
  8. It says quite a bit, but didn't bring too much to mind that wouldn't normally come up (i.e. just build the crap out of it). Still a nice article.
  9. What's the length on Extra Cab Long Bed Yota sliders?
  10. And $200 for an adjustable track bar, or sleeve it yourself.
  11. You ought to go for the hexology (or whatever). Leavin it a stocker or modding it out?
  12. The '75 Scout II at work ticks like a b*t*h, but it's just upperend. Seems almost rust free. Oregon, I guess. If it wasn't for the gas, and price for upkeep, I'd have a Scout in my driveway.
  13.  They offered some other diesel over in Europe, I don't remember what, but it was from like '93-'96 or something.
  14. lol
  15. Sorry for my ignorance, but what's the desire to have one outside of rarity? Rarity is many times enough for me to drool over.
  16. A 12.50'd be fine on an 8" rim, and, "from what I understand", will be able to hold a bead at lower pressure than the 10" rim will. I wish I had the money to go out and test random shtuff.
  17. They'll probably hit. IMO, widen your stance a little with some spacers or rims with less backspacing. It'll be nicer with the heigher COG. You want it to be level like most ppl lift their trucks, or "level" level?. The rear end seems to be up 2" or so on stock MJs, so you'll have to compensate for that if you're trying to make it "level" level.
  18. What's that from?
  19. must be :chillin:
  20. Renault 2.1L Turbo Diesel 85 hp @ 3750 rpm 132 ft lb @ 2750 rpm Is that right?
  21. Did you narrow it? It looks to match the front end.
