  1. You drove all the way to cali to get your mj?
  2. worked on it for about an hour :D ended up getting the driver side totally loose and started work on the passenger side when i broke one of the wingsfrom the oh crap handle :fs1: I'm gluing it back together, but hopefully gambit can ship me one if he still has it. I'm covered in insulation from that piece of crap headliner but it will be worth it tommorrow. should i post all the pics here or make a do it yourself on it? ive been taking pictures the whole time and hopefully will be able to offer a good dyi on it.
  3. Franklin? I'm in Gallatin  Ive got buckets but its nice to see somone close by  :wavey: if you ever need anything around here let me know ide love to help you out
  4. oh yes. haha my horn button experience was particularly nice becauase i was in my girlfriends little suburb neghborhood and i had two different horns on my mj trying to make them honk. It sounded like the end of the world in that neighborhood for like 15 mintues due to the severely out of tune horns and the volume :clapping:
  5. and while were on the subject of horns... the actual horn is found in front of the driver side front wheel.you have to get on the ground and look up to find it. there may be a ruber-like flap hanging down but it can be pulled out of the way with some delicate manuevering. once you get that out of the way the horn is right there
  6. haha is it is right now ill stick with head liner ;) i know for a fact my floor is rusty but i don't have time to fix it. ill try to get to it this summer though  do i need to pull the sun visors?
  7. Which ones A and which ones B? :huh???: the things i pointed at in the pictures?
  8. I put eliminator because i know those came in eliminators. but anyway whoever has one can remove it simply by pulling on the top of it toward you, not downward. don't jerk or snatch just pull until it pops off, then push it back on when your done. this is usefull if your horn only beeps part of the time, because that means you have rusty contacts and need to take your horn button appart and hit it with some sand paper. it only takes a couple minutes but makes you atleast 20 times more annoying :rotf: make sure you turn your switch on and test the horn before you put the cap back on it, even though it is easy to put back on. And before you put the three screws back in make sure the one rectangular slot is on the top of the horn buton, not to the sides. if its on one of the sides it will make your jeep emblem on your button face the wrong way :smart:
  9. His @$$ has been a little sore the past couple days. It is a Ford 8.8. Willy I thught that was a ford rear end. Love your stuff man. Actually the first time i got on comanche club i read your build on this mj and thats what got me started on comanche club :D very nice truck
  10. sounds like a great idea  I'll have to try that in our sand blaster :D does it work in any sand blaster?
  11. so just the pillars in front of my door? Or do i need to take it all apart? and btw here's a picture of the mold. the floor stays soaked too, thus my urgency :ack:
  12. don't you have bigger fish to fry than flashers? :hmm: seems to me like you have a broke down vehicle to worry about ;) but if your signals work somone could have put the wrong flashers in, or if there isnt a ticking when there on it could be wiring or the switch... let us know the exact status on it.
  13. check tractor supply or co-op. if anyone was going to have it would be them. lime is similar to baking soda in consistancy... are you trying to run it through a sand blaster? because i didnt know baking soda would strip paint...
  14. Amen. Just because i live on a farm it doesnt mean i have to suffer through that crap. its terrible. jsut awefull :ack:
  15. It could be the wiring to the coil and not the coil itself. If it still does it after you replace it i would check out the wiriing. also don't throw away the old coil just in case it is wiring...
  16. HELP PLEASE My MJ recently acquired a terrible leak around the front windshield. It is obviously coming through at the chrome trim above the window. How do I get this trim off and stop the leaking?? also, How do I get my headliner off? As it is it isnt an actual headliner, just a big layer of green insulation that falls into your eyes if you touch it, and its getting moldy due to the said leak. any input is greatly appreciated. i can take pictures of the headliner and trim if need be. thank you all
  17. you have an incredibly brave dog :D and what rear end do you have under your mj? :???:
  18. yup that water pump is a mean dude :fs1:
  19. I suppose to large shiney puddle is the fuel leak?
  20. check your water pump. It sounds off topic but the water pump has adjuster bolts and can very easily be very crooked and you not even notice. when i first bought my mj this was an issue. it was out of line and i couldnt even tell, but my dad took one look at it and told me the water pump needed adjusting. it was out of whack just allitle but even so it had let the belt cut a big slit in the lower raidiator hose and ruin that along with the belt. it could be far more out of whack for you guys and could be doing the same thing only more extreme. Its atleast worth checking anyway. i believe its just like a 12 mm bolt you have to adjust, takes all of 6 minutes if your taking your time and is virtually free to fix  maybe thatl do you some good. good luck :wavey:
  21. yes a coil could do that, but only if its not getting good ground from somewhere. and that could very well be the case sence when you drive stuff moves around. if you wanna test this i would start it and then wiggle stuff around and bounce wires etc around the coil/distributor. if it dies in one particular position you could find your problem right there. The reason it could be your coil is because without your coil the power being sent to the spark plugs isnt close to being half as much as it takes to spark one. The coil takes the electricity from the battery/alternator and condenses it into one powerfull surge to run the plugs. So your plug wires could still be getting power and lighting up a test light, but they could still not be getting enough.
  22. haha he might as well put a top over the bed. a bed floor would come up within like 6 inches of the top of the bed anyway :rotf:
  23. While were on the subject of radiation......... If any single star that we can see in the sky at night were to go super nova it would create enough gamma radiation to completely erode our atmosphere and us with it  The star taht we know of that is closest to going super nova is a red giant on Orians shoulder and is known as Betelguise. It is also the largest star we can see. It is at the very end of its life and should go supernova pretty soon (in astronomical time that is  ) we should be ok for atleast 10,000 years, but thats no time for a star ;)
  24. The same guy I bought my mj from had a deuce and a half for sale :brows: It was allitle newer than that bottom picture you posted, but it was a 6 wheel drive with a massive engine and it would run with allitle work. needless to say i had no use for a huge army vehicle seeing as how i have tractors and backhoes etc to do its job on the farm, but it was very neat :D
