Good point. Fuel sprays from the injector normally in a fine mist. When the o-rings leak there is dripping. -

When the o-rings on the single injector leak, it still runs but the fuel pours down. It’s originally fed into the Venturi around the injector and that injector just allows fuel into the side and the “valve” inside just opens and closes to work the spray. There is a line in and return line out with pressure regulator. -

No need for this I’m sure but clean the tube between the map and motor to make sure it’s getting a good vacuum signal. Mine was clogged with blowby over the years and cleaning it out cured it. I had fixed the throttle body o-rings on the injector “egg” but still had a bad stutter and raw fuel smell. If you fill your gas tank to the brim each time then the charcoal canister can be saturated as well. That won’t affect the fuel economy as much as the O-rings but it will mess with CO numbers as well as the fuel saturated engine oil being vaporized and drawn in raw through the CCV tube so it’s not fully burnt by the tailpipe for testing. My thermostat being too low temp (stuck part way open) threw off my numbers as well because it was stuck in cold mode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I read someplace around ‘99 or so that early 87to90 YJ was the same bolt in rear axle as Comanche. The AMC Eagle from the “Flying with V8 AMC Eagles” in Petersen’s 4x4 and Off-road magazine from Sept ‘97 (Cam Brown’s car was in my Ex’s old neighborhood) had a D44 put in that the spring pads needed to be moved on top and it was tagged “Export YJ” from Then Golden Ears motors Jeep Wrecking. -
I hope to avoid it till I make a pre Christmas delivery.

There were plenty of stories left. We’re talking about the bunch that made Buffy the Vampire slayer mostly watchable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anybody ever see something like this?

Reminds me of the Rhoades car. I have the flier here someplace still Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
There’s also Nelly Belle, arguably the most widely known Jeep ever.

Somehow it’s in my signature on Tapatalk and I can’t access it.

I have three red ones now and Sarge was red too. (My son had a longbed Red one, but it folded in half from rust a couple months back) I would be tempted to call yours Orry, because it was originally red.

It’s the footer tag line. I’m trying to find where to change it but the site keeps going down when I’m in it. I’m manually removing them for now.

Different ones had different attitudes. My ‘86 Longbox was Molly. First red one was Sarge (military interior lights and US Flag ceiling) Some parts rigs came/went. Louey and second Louey (short for Lieutenant) Blue one was Major PITA.

No spark and no power to the fuel pump
carnuck replied to Jeepfanatic89's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
On the fuel pump, does it pressurize the system for 3 seconds when you turn the key on? If not, check the ground behind the left tail light and the harness plug on the frame under there. My Comanches: 2nd Louey 1987 SB First Louey 1988 SB 90 MJ LB parting out. -

How about a Snopes-like forum or “True or False: Comanche Myths or Mythstakes” ? Or maybe “Bonus or Bogus? Go above your gas pedal and see if the vacuum hose is off there. Then, if your front bumper on passenger’s side is damaged, the vacuum ball may be crunched. (I move mine up under the hood) The vacuum comes from the intake behind the throttle body and crosses to the passenger’s side. There is a Y by the coolant fill bottle and heater valve. One was capped unless you have cruise control or AC. My Comanches: 2nd Louey 1987 SB Sporttruck 2.5L/AX-4 2wd (for now) 3.55 D35 205/75R/15 with studs and new windshield and headliner. Quick help, damaged E12 Torx removal

Where are you? Shipping would likely be more than buying another trans local. A friend of mine has a 2wd ‘98 AX15 and needs a 4.0L bell for bolting it to his304. -

Fuel economy wise, no real difference. I like to keep it simple though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is what I was trying to say. Make sure it’s a ZJ and not WJ for the rims and that ZJ in ‘98 had 16” rims with that “snowflake” style but so did the next year of WJ with 5 on 5” pattern. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
