I always thought, every since they came out, that it would be cool to take the plastic fender flares off, and put some big flat fenders on, giving it a old school Power Wagon look. One thing about these, and I assume the KK Libs are the same way, is, to get any decent tire under it, you have to jack it to the sky because of the tight wheel well opening, and, for structural and floor board issues, you can't just cut the well out. Nice J10! I'm not far from you, down in Stuart. I'm in a Jeep club, and there's always someone that can help with whatever you need. Should come down and meet up with us! Jerry

The term SUV had been around since the '70's, why they chose station wagon instead of sport utility vehicle is beyond me. Jerry

Thanks, again, Cruiser! Jerry

My '93 Cherokee has an AMC fuse box. Jerry

Sorry about that, didn't realize there was a second page! I would think just about any forum site would want you to be a vender for that particular site, makes sense. Jerry

FL titles are so inconsistent, this shows in how the two MJ's I have are labeled. Jerry

Looked at my '93 XJ, ahh hell nah, they listed the Body as "SW", station wagon, seriously!?!? Jerry
-
Both '86 and '88 MJ's have "AMER" as the make, the '86 has no model, but has "PK" for "Body", the '88 has "JP" for the Body portion. Jerry

Hood Hinge on drivers side is messed up
JeepsOLot replied to JeepsOLot's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I just closed the hood for the night, both sides are equal both toward the header and the cowl. Side to side is dead on. I think that hinge is messed up. Funny thing is, the '86 has the same issue! Jerry -
Where is the CTS on the Renix 4.0? Might be having the same issue. Thanks! Jerry

These should be able to be painted, right? Just looked at mine on the Eliminator, and yep, I'm going to need a set, count me in. To drum up more support, what about going around to XJ forums, I'm sure the 2Dr guys would appreciate these as well. Jerry

Ok, gotta ask, what makes a Comanche a "Thunderchief"? Jerry

I just got the title in my name for the 88 Eliminator yesterday, and, as a make, it still has American Motors. I thought, since AMC was bought out by Chrysler in '87, that, the Jeeps would have had "Jeep" as the make in '88. When did Chrysler officially get rid of American Motors? Jerry

Purging out bad gas and leaking injectors
JeepsOLot replied to JeepsOLot's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Is there a way to close the fuel return on the fuel regulator off for testing purposes? Jerry -
Could this go where the OEM clock is now? Jerry

I have LED's in the CJ, even the blinkers and high beam, and they are just right, now I can see them with the sun shining on them. I guess it depends on the light pattern of the LED too, remember that. I got mine off SuperBrightLEDs.com. Great site! Jerry

Purging out bad gas and leaking injectors
JeepsOLot replied to JeepsOLot's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Got a set of o-rings coming, replacing all 12 of them. I was wondering, would a bad regulator keep the pressure from building up too? Thanks Jerry -
Purging out bad gas and leaking injectors
JeepsOLot replied to JeepsOLot's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well, I'll probably just replace the injectors anyway, 181k miles and 27 years old, might as well. I heard about the Mustang injectors, and had planned on replacing the ones in my CJ9 when they fail. What year Mustang would these be from? Jerry -
'88 Eliminator with 4.0 and 5sp. I had to replace the fuel pump this evening, and, while better, it still won't start. I tried to purge the system but turning the pump on with the key many times, after each time, opening the valve on the fuel rail to let the bad gas out. How could I get some injector cleaner into the fuel rail? I have Injectors 2 and 3 that look wet for no reason other them leaking. Are there gaskets/o-rings that could be replaced, or do I need injectors too? Thanks! Jerry

Hey Guys need some d44 advice
JeepsOLot replied to Brunner's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I haven't done anything with the load sensing arm, it's how I bought it. It doesn't have MT badging, nor does it have MT springs, I'm told. I believe it is a late production '86, would make sense. I'm not keeping this one, as I got an 88 Eliminator, and it's more of what I want and I don't have to do a motor/tranny transplant. Definitely, the D44 is going under the Eliminator, and the D35 under the '86 before it leaves me. Jerry
