  1. I am looking for a driver side drip rail trim and a passenger side taillight. I can buy or do some trading. I have quite a few parts I will be putting up for sale soon. Let me know. Thanks
  2. I'm heartbroken. I just found this and when I got to the end I was like NOOOOOOOO. $4000? Holy hell, somebody got a heck of a deal. I hope the new owner finishes it to the standard you started.
  3. I bought some of these and they are decent quality. Better than most Chinese crap.
  4. Check out Mad Electrical website. I followed his advice by using the posts with power coming straight from alternator, supposed to be full power to acc. Getting ready to do a relay on headlights also. http://www.ebay.com/itm/77037WB-BATTERY-POWER-JUNCTION-POST-3-8-x-16-RED-W-BOOT-/221386499492?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item338ba9e5a4 http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPAL-185-DEGREE-THERMOSTAT-RELAY-WIRING-HARNESS-185FH-/300902320012?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item460f2d078c&vxp=mtr
  5. I got the relays for the fans hooked up today. I ordered a black post to replace the red one I have on the ground side if anybody noticed. Put fenders and header panel on, install stereo and a few odds and ends and I will get it legal and start driving it.
  6. Follow Earls '89 Eliminator thread. I did mine this weekend and his advice is spot on. My rear brakes weren't working good still so I bypassed the load sensing valve and it stops on a dime.
  7. Finally had a nice day to get some projects done. I got my booster upgrade done. The spacer I made was a hard rubber piece and it was 4 1/2 inches square with a 2 1/2 inch hole in the center. The bolt holes were 3 7/16 on center if I remember correctly. The little oval plate is the block off for the clutch master. I bought a 2004 Grand Cherokee overflow bottle. I like the way it fits. I need to make a bracket for the bottom mount still. Oh, and all the gauges work correctly. The speedo is close but I will have to put a Garmin in to see how close. The battery hold down is not much but they are hard to find around here in good condition. It cleaned up good.
  8. Here is a link to me driving on the gravel road in front on my house. Still needs a final tune but she's getting there.
  9. Wow! If he gets it there will be a mad rush to sell Comanches. There are some trucks on here that are way nicer and I doubt they could sell theirs for that.
  10. Beautiful truck, I hope to make mine half as nice.
  11. This is an awesome truck. Congrats
  12. I need to do this also, thanks.
  13. It is an illness, isn't it
  14. So, I was wanting some nice chrome pieces for the front of my Comanche. I got on ebay and ordered the whole shebang and got them in the mail today. Quality was not the best to say the least. One of the headlight doors was black and the other was chrome. Filed a complaint and want them to send me a new chrome one on their dime. So I said the heck with it and ordered some from Rockauto. Way cheaper (Kick myself in the butt). I guess I will keep the best ones and put them on and keep the rest in storage. Also got my new dual diaphragm booster and master combo. Now I have to find the time to put them in. Was laid off for five months and got called back and have been on OT since.
  15. I think I heard the kid tell him $100 but I am not 100% sure.
  16. A guy bought the tailgate while I was there.
  17. A guy in Joplin Mo. has a complete wiring harness also. The truck is on Craigslist and he is selling cheap.
  18. It looked like too good of a truck to part out buy I guess we got what we wanted.
  19. Yep, sure was. While I was there he had three other guys buying parts.
  20. Some info on the truck would help with an assessment... '86 Comanche Pioneer 4 cyl, 4 speed manual. 216k on the clock, and I am the original owner heat and A/C works beige with tan interior, bench seat sliding rear window, gun rack too :) Pioneer stereo 7 foot bed with two 7 foot side boxes always garaged, never been wrecked That's all I can think of at the moment. Any questions? I'm gonna need a photobucket account or I can email pics. edit: located in SE KS Where you located? I am from Cherryvale
  21. I made the buy of a lifetime today. I bought both complete doors, a headliner, four of the Jeep wheel centers, and a battery tray and hold down all in nice condition for $100 today. The guy is parting out an '87 4x4. He has a pretty good long bed and a bunch of the interior panels, cab, and a bunch of misc. left. He is from around Joplin Mo. and has the truck on Craigslist. Good guy.
  22. I can tell you that you will get rid of that rats nest on passenger fenderwell. Mine is still 2wd with an auto so I can't help with the trans issues. The Novak radiator is a sweet piece but with the fans and relay kits it is over $900. It fits perfectly. Order early if you do because there is a wait. Ram horn exhaust might be the way to go, but if you want headers I would recommend 1 1/2 inch tubes because there is not much room between 1 5/8 and the bolts for the motor mounts. I would grind off the top edge of the bolts if I had known how close they were. For the wiring I followed a website called Mad Electrical and used some of his ideas like the solenoid on the fenderwell and posts for the charge wires.
