  1. Stuck this on the tailgate to confuse the hell outta people.
  2. My argument wasn't "Is there an 86 SWB model?" It was that there were SWB MJs being built in 86. Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  3. Early 87's were actually made in 86 as with any car. IE: Mine is titled as an 87 but was built in 1986.
  4. Ah can't really see too well from the photo but going by your screen name and the look of the back...you can see how I came to that. Lol. And have a safe trip brother.
  5. Is that a GLH or GLHS? Those cars were awesome for their day. Sent from my LGLS770 using Tapatalk
  6. We put those on a friends MJ. They aren't stiff but gave it more of a 6" lift instead of 4". We put XJ shackles on to lower it a bit to around 5".

  8. We were the ONLY MJs at Jeep Beach. There were two others but they didn't want to be included in a pic or photographed.

  11. Anyone planning on going or stopping by? If so, a few of us will be camped out at KOA. Feel free to stop by and have a drink.
  12. MJ Mafia all together, for something other than repairs.
  13. Yeah, was better suited for yours than mine. Lol. We waste NOTHING Walt. We keep as many parts within our circle as possible.
  14. Looks good man. [emoji106]
  15. Still need to adjust the front pinch clamp to sit a little closer to the rocker and drill for the self-tapping bolts.
  16. The "stickout" of the front box isn't that much. I'll take a pic tomorrow as I'm now put of daylight.
  17. What about the best of both worlds, the slider following the body line but the step tube as is? Would the distance between the rail and inner edge of the tube at the front and rear be noticeable? What is it, like 1.5" over the ~68" distance? Now that could be "doable" but it's not my design to change and the pinch seam runns parallel to the axle track.
  18. I'm only running 31x10.50's on stock turbine rims at the moment. So basically stock offset.
  19. See the "taper" in the bodyline? Now, looking straight down the axle/track line, the rails follow straight. Nothing wrong with this design at all. Look at it this way, if you create the "wedge" with the rails following body line and you go to squeeze between two trees or rocks, why wedge yourself in there?
  20. As someone with an Automotive Engineering degree, I fully understand why they follow the axle width/track. The body of the MJ/XJ slightly tapers twords the front of vehicle but only by about an inch. Looking at it from above or direct from the front or rear, the tubes follow the axle/track width perfectly. Great job guys.
  21. Only adjustment I had to make was if you look at the front, I had to clamp it up tighter to the body. Just the three pinch clamps are holding in the picture.
