  1. All the XJ/MJ parts are the same firewall forward. The SWB and LWB gas tanks are different and you cannot use a XJ tank. Most aftermarket tanks are thinner metal and you can hear the fuel pump wine, so a pick n pull used tank would be better.
  2. Quick question for you guys.. How much higher does the rear sit than the front in a stock 4x4 4.0 MJ? assuming there isn't too much leaf sag.
  3. Break out the power washer and the :wrench: and get her back to life!
  4. Yeah lmk thanks!
  5. Thanks for the info guys.. I am well over 3 hours from Morrisville though. I'm mainly looking for a electronic guage cluster with around 160K miles. I don't know of any way to set the elec speedos to the correct mileage, mine is junk. I also want a factory or aftermarket that looks like the factory bull bar.
  6. When my father visited from MA we went there and they had two MJs and we were lucky enough to get a spare tire winch for $25.
  7. Lol just looked them up on google and found two reviews of there place: Called for a part, and only got so far as the year and model before they said "not yet"...not even knowing what I wanted. Living in Smithsburg, I pass this place daily. I'm pretty sure I won't ever walk through their door any time soon. Was this review helpful? Yes - No - Flag as inappropriate Going to this "business" proved my mother ever more so right when she said to me a long time ago, "People just don't care anymore!" The employees at this place haven't any social skills whatsoever! They do not care about you or your situation and have told me that to my face. They should be thrown in jail for buying stolen products. And not to mention the parts they sell are a sham, don't work properly, or were half-assed made! I highly recommend That you do not go to this place if you want to get friendly service and keep your money! They say they will buy your vehicle... They will pick it up and drive away without so much as an offer. And if your lucky to get the offer its going to be below there 50 rule. :dunno: How was your luck there? Is this the place thats also called Ellwoods?? If so I have been there and the old guy that runs this place is one of the biggest A holes Ive ever met.
  8. I was wondering if you guys know of any good pick n pulls for XJ parts? Ive been to Crazy rays but for some things they are just too expensive, and the closest one is an hour from me.
  9. x2 on leaving such a nice truck unprotected for so long.

    D44 worth

$75 each at the pick n pull when you can find one in MD.
  11. Advance auto parts and autozone both sell Chevy drop shackles in their store for $40. They measure 7.5" from eye to eye.
  12. So basically a 2" XJ lift shackle will give you close to 0" of lift.
  13. I think a 2" XJ lift shackle will only give you 0.5" on the MJ. The XJ shackle is 3.5" stock and the MJ is 4.5" stock.
  14. The red MJ is a real fab isn't it?
  15. Also while you have the lines apart it would be a good time to replace the A/C compressor with a newer R134A one.
  16. Ive learned to never listen to anything the PO says about the motor. lol I bought an 88 MJ that supposedly ran and it had less than 75psi compression.
  17. You just answered your own question. If your flywheel is bad then the CPS will not read correctly.

    yikes

Maybe if he red lines it and spins the tires for 8 minutes he will get somewhere! :dunce:
  19. 1 more for ya
  20. Sounds exactly like my xj when the CPS went. It almost felt like it was running out of gas then wouldn't start for 30 mins. After waiting for it to cool down it would run again til it got hot. A new CPS solved the problem, but your flywheel may be the problem. Go to the junk yard and pick up a couple used CPS sensors and try em instead of spending 80 buck for a new one.
  21. I really like that front tube bumper WITH the push bar.. I want one for my XJ.
  22. Fairfield to be exact right accross from Ski Liberty Mountain.
  23. For a rust belt MJ its in better shape than my 89 I had from MA.. :smart:
  24. Thanks for turning me onto penwoods! lol I never heard of it until your post.
