  1. Jeeps are never really done, it has been a long project. I got one wheel swapped over last night, they are gonna look pretty good on the truck, although side by side they are very similar to my old Hummer H2 wheels. All of my torque wrenches are at work so I still need to torque it before I can air it up and see how it looks on the truck.
  2. Nice, if it goes good in the MJ I will probably do the floor in my YJ too.
  3. That would be ok, with the seats and floor mats in, the tunnel is the main thing that is still exposed. Worst case I may have to come up with something to help hold the floor mats in place.
  4. It should hold up well in mine then, my truck hasn't been used to haul anything in years. I'm curious to see how it does on the interior, I did rattle can liner originally which did ok but scratches fairly easily.
  5. I don't know how many reviews I read between the various products I was looking at but, bed lining a truck bed does seem to be an uncommon thing to do.
  6. Not much of an update but, I finished cleaning out the bed then removed the ice box/reservoir and gas can mount. Now I just need to pull the battery box but I will have to get my son to help with that. I ordered some raptor liner today to coat the bed, I also want to recoat the interior before the roll cage goes in.
  7. Got the bed mostly cleaned out and set the fuel cell in. I think by the time it's done, pretty much everything that was back there will be relocated. I also think the bed is gonna get coated with something, it's not looking so great.
  8. Hover Jeep time. Also confirmed that the left rear caliper has been sticking as I've been suspecting, so it will have to get fixed too. Now I'm curious as to how peppy it will feel when it's not dragging a brake.
  9. A tip for those who use Amazon. It's not a bad idea to check their other buying options before making a purchase, if you don't already. They knocked almost $100 off of this Viair because the box was damaged, a couple weeks ago I got a similar deal on a Dewalt hammer drill, around $70 off also because the box was damaged.
  10. This showed up today for the MJ, should be a huge improvement from the little Campbell Hausfeld I've had for years.
  11. They will definitely be a big change from the Hummer H2 wheels I've had on it.
  12. Definitely not playing around, the listing was also pretty clear about them not being DOT approved.
  13. They can spin fast, they just aren't DOT approved because of how they hold the bead in place. A failure is unlikely but if they ever did come apart on the road it could be catastrophic since the tire can come completely off the wheel.
  14. Some fancy new wheels showed up for the MJ today. I think the manufacturer is trying to tell me something, not sure what though.
  15. I have a 125 amp Century flux core welder that I bought over 20 years ago, it's been a good little portable machine.
  16. I ran Skyjacker nitro shock on my MJ for several years, the were a bit harsh on the road but worked pretty good offroad. Nice thing with Skyjacker is that they are one of the few companies that list all the specs on their shocks, so they are good for custom builds.
  17. The guy that posted the pics lives in Portland Oregon so I would assume the truck is in the Portland area. So about 2hrs south of where Seth built it.
  18. That's going to look pretty cool.
  19. Popped up on Facebook today.

    Bows

Find an archery shop, they will set you up with everything you need, adjust the bow to you and will have you shooting half decent by the time you leave. Sportsman's Warehouse is good if you know what you want, but a place that exclusively does archery will be far better.
  21. Been meaning to bolt down the air filter for years, today I found an old Rustys air filter adapter in the garage from an MJ I had parted, so I tossed it on. It's bolted to the AC pump bracket and seems to fit ok, kinda flimsy though so I might have to beef it up some. I think it looks better than the cut up Ford Focus tube I've had on it for the last decade.
  22. Finally added an oil catch can and coolant bottle today, I got away without the catch can for a long time but after I turned the boost up I've noticed it pushing more oil out of the breather,so it was time. Not sure why I didn't have a coolant bottle, I took it out a few years ago and for some reason it never got put back, I think the aluminum tank looks cooler anyway.
  23. I would look through a rule book and see what class you want to shoot for, an LS would be cool but might put you in a class that you have no business being in. I would think that for getting started you could probably make what you have work ok, my little 2.5l would disintegrate a set of smaller tires in a big hurry.
