  9. haven't updated this in a sweet long time. MJ is doing good, I've put about 14,000 miles on it since i've been driving it now. pretty good for not leaving the state. recently got a lot of new parts: Radiator brakes axle seal manifold back exhaust ( ) subwoofer different tires/wheels fuel pump she is holding up quite nicely, definitely going to need to do some serious bodywork in the future, but I just passed inspection this week. the more I dig into the body, the worse it looks, I'm afraid to dig too deep. under the flair, faceplam, thats a lot of bondo, looks worse now, will cut out and patch properly eventually. might trim the fenders at the same time (not much actual metal to trim) have not had a terrible amount of time to work on it, still waiting on the 4x4 swap, planning on a new clutch when i finally get around to doing that. going to patch the body, thinking on spacers for the front. Looking for a dana 44, want to have larger tire friendly gears (4.10s) and doors maybe, armor is on the list also. want to line the bed also, the blue looks kinda out of place imo. but overall its a very excellent vehicle, only left me hanging once. fuel pump gave out, but that was partially the PO's fault. I do quite like it, keeping it for the foreseeable future.
  10. ...and check all the common misspellings, ie; comanchee, commanche, commanchee, occationally a camanche or some other variation.

  12. recommended forums for AMC eagle inquiries, previously suggested, but you will not find more of a wealth of knowledge of these cars anywhere else. http://www.amceaglenest.com/ I'm registered there as "landlubber" also, was set on getting an eagle before I found comanches. Still have a AMC concord (very similar to eagles) in the equipment yard. will get one eventually, I think they are awesome. SX/4s are quite rare, the rarest being the Eagle Kammback, looking somewhat similar to the Gremlin. 4.0L engine swaps have been done before, there is a quite in depth thread about it here: http://forums.amceaglenest.com/index.php?topic=32540.0
  13. got wood? this is what i've been doing mostly all summer, cutting down trees, cutting up trees, splitting and stacking.
  14. sweet video, love it.
  15. Saw this truck maybe a month ago and put a CC card under his wiper. cleanest MJ i have ever seen, paint is a bit faded, but underneath is absolutely mint. happened to talk to him this past week and he was asking if anyone would be interested in taking it off his hands. Its a 4 banger, 5 speed, 2wd, about 104k miles on it and is very clean, he mentioned a cap, but idk if he still has it. short wheel base, I didnt notice much that was special about it (D44, etc) but is incredibly clean. quoted from his CL ad "1989 Jeep Comanche 2WD 5speed, this truck is from Naples Florida, it is a short bed, this is the perfect truck to build a rod out of, there is no rot on this truck. " He was talking 4 grandish for it. PM me if you are interested and i'll give you his number.

  19. A friend of mine went up to maine, he took some cool pictures. He knows I drive a comanche so he tagged me in one of them so I'd see, cool stuff. sorry about your engine troubles, hope you guys had fun
  20. I have a yamaha g8 or g9. that thing can take a beating. got it for free, fixed it up. put a winch on it and agricultural style tires and i tossed some lights in it. its parked out of the way now with a few problems, might take her out again someday and put a real engine in it, idk. cheap fun though.
