  1. I went with these https://www.tntcustoms.com/jeep_parts/u_bolt_eliminators_leaf_spring_perches And absolutely love them. No wheel hop and no axle wrap. Had them on for about 2 years now.
  2. I am curious if anyone here is close to Buckeye, Arizona? DBmetalworx is wanting an MJ for measurements so they can build tail light boxes for LEDs and such. I'm about 600 miles away so not possible for me to assist. I have a link to their facebook page. https://m.facebook.com/Dbmetalworxcom
  3. You can buy a phone app and a scanner off amazon. I used the torque app and a cheap scanner. In total i spent about $22
  4. LoL, it'a all good. I'm pretty sure we're on the same side of this one for sure! It's funny ... I was thinking about this thread while fiddling with the MJ this weekend ... and I was dreaming how awesome it would be to drop a 5.3 in, lift it a couple inches, put a huge rear end in it ..... for the sole purpose of doing sweet daddy burnouts!!!!!! I looked into the 5.3 swap for my 88, didnt look too fun, stroker seems like a better choice to be honest. And costs less!
  5. What is that black stuff you used around the edges of the bed after you cut them? My entire truck is bedlined with Monstaliner. So the black stuff is just black truck bed liner.
  6. Mine is tied into my stiffeners so i didnt use tabs. It was 3/8" thick i believe, as i also wanted it beefy for tire supprt.
  7. Looks similar to mine. Definitely tie the sides into the frame. I didnt and i came down on a rock and out a little dent in the bed.
  8. Just for the dash if i remember correctly 7 or 9. I did my MJ and Chevy at same time so I'm a little confused. I really want to say 7.
  9. You drove it for how long before realizing it didn't exist? I don't run a sway bar, never needed it.
  10. Nothing shows up
  11. If you ever come down near Tracy i have an extra 4.0 pan sotting on my shelf. You can have it! Its obviously used but if you're in the area free is always good.
  12. Front D30 would be a CAD axle, rear most likely a D35 some D44
  13. I decided to check my compression. Ive been fighting oil leaks since ive owned it. I final replaced every oil seal on it but am still fighting an oil leak out of the front area where the oil pan meets the timing cover (both are brand new). I also took it out wheeling and throughly enjoyed it!
  14. It comes with a kit to roll on. I found that easier than spray
  15. Eek... 3/8" for a bumper? For how tight the radius on the corners of the tube are, I'd say that it's 1/4". Regardless, I usually go with 3/16" or 1/4" when building m bumpers and then also 1/4" for brackets. Those numbers do change frequently though based off of whatever I might have sitting in my pile. :D It may be a 1/4" honestly i don't remember. A lot of plating and building was done to my jeep over the course of 2 months. I really want to say it's 3/8 because i desperately wanted to add weight to the rear end, my front tends to crawl over rocks while my rear just bounces.
  16. Oh and the sides is just 2x2.
  17. Bumper is 1/4" or 3/8" plate i can't remember now. I'm fairly certain it is 3/8". The tire carrier is made using the spindle assembly from Ruff Stuff, the main structure is .120 DOM and center structure and stub to plate is .250 DOM. It handles my 35 perfectly fine.
  18. I went this route, id say $300 is my total cost
  19. ^ agreed. I did LOKKA front and an OX rear. Don't feel it in the street at all, rarely hear the click around turns. My steering gets harder to turn occasionally but not often since i did some PS upgrades.
  20. Have you tried just back flushing it?
  21. I spent $400 for sanding, prep, palm sander and monstaliner. No need to worry about pin strips, i have full skids, sliders, and quarter panel protection so i only have to do touch ups every 5 years for UV protection if i want unless i flop it.
  22. Yes. From how i read your original post it seemed like you werent aware that the bottom bolts held the winch and fairlead. Guess i was wrong lol.
  23. I don't have pictures yet, but my mounting style is same as yours. The fairlead shares the same 2 bottom holes as the winch. I can get you some pics later if that doesnt make sense.
