  1. Doing a 4X4 swap. Have a non cad d30 front Also have a NP242 out of the same doner,Can a NP 242 be bolted up to a BA-10/5.And if so did I read that you can change the tail houseing with one from a 4wd. and cut the tail shaft at the correct length? On a tight budjet , Need to get it going right now.I'll upgrade later. Thanks in advance.

  5. What kind of flares are those?
  6. I actually put my Comanches 2wd. front and rear end back under my XJ doner after swapping axles just so I can move it around if necesary, and because I still have to pull the tranny and T.C. My wife didn't like the way I had it on jack stands.(I really didn't either)I just flipped the spring under rear end and forced the spring over to fit. When I scrap the XJ I'll just pull the rear out.
  7. If I'm understanding what your saying,It could be done but the front would be going in reverse when the rear is going forward.
  8. How's one go about removing the trim prior to stripping without damaging it?Is there a trick to it?Any special tools? Thanks

  19. Another problem I have with a manual is my truck at work is a Ford F-250 with a 6 speed.Reverse is all the way to the left and up,Driving it all day then getting in my Manche to head home,You have to reprogram your brain to get in the right gear.
  20. I've allways preferd manuals,Most of my rigs have been manuals,My Comanche is a manual now.But I'm changing to an auto.Reason being I'm converting to 4wd. and my doner has an auto in it but the main reason is on weekends we go Jet skiing in the summer and these boat ramps around here are pretty steep,I just don't trust the parking brake on my truck.Didn't work when I got it,Fixxed it when I did the axle swap,3rd, time I used it it broke where it ataches to the pedal.I'll fell much better with the parking prake fixxed and the tranny in park.Been using my TJ LJ but will be using the Comanche once the swap is done.
