  1. Because they don't deem it necessary to have two mechanics on duty for a storm, they rotate us to every other day being on call. Dec, I have the odd days... While its nice, I find myself between making really bank on overtime, and money I could do without. At this point, I make enough money to support myself independent of OT, so I would rather not be on call. I used to count on OT as part of my income... That's no fun. Here are some pics I took the other day while working: They are big, excessively rusty, beat to heck, drippy, leaky, cold, wet, and salty. Welcome to my hell. Rob L.
  2. Any pics of the truck? Not ofter you see an MJ laredo... Rob L.
  3. No problem. Happy to translate... Rob L.
  4. I would now say, that after all the discussion, maybe a home alarm with somesort of ridiculous siren or audible alarm is in order... It seems that maybe they were just looking around, but maybe next time, if they try to get in, and are met with a bastard of an alarm, they might just run for the hills. If they were any sort of criminal, they would have taken stuff. I just think someone was snooping, and the last thing they would want is attention for snooping. Rob L.
  5. Ok, Just got off the phone with him. :D Here's what I got: Yes, the MAIN problem is the clutch master. It seems that when you hold it down, it looses pressure, and slowly drops to the floor. Jake also said, that he knows it sounds crazy, but he swears that the clutch acts "normal" when not in a gear. Also, with the brakes, he has been dealing with a sinking pedal that has dropped with application of the brakes since he bought it. That he said it sounds like a hissing, and will make the hissing sound until the pedal hits the floor, but it still holds the truck in place at a stop. So hopefully, that helps everyone out in deciphering Jake's struggle. ;) Rob L.
  6. So the clutch was the one dropping when you pressed it, but now the brake is doing it too? :huh???: :hmm: I am going nuts... Maybe I should just call you. Rob L.
  7. Have you done the clutch master? Rob L.
  8. Wait, so has this whole problem been with your brakes, or with your clutch? I thought clutch? Rob L.
  9. No flatbed MJ? :( Rob L.
  10. Looks good! Rob L.
  11. We will need pics in order to hash this one out. Rob L.
  12. Weird, someone got in, but didn't take anything... Ever listened to Dane Cook? He has a skit about breaking into a house, and taking nothing... Ends up bothering the family so much they argue for years about why the house got broken into... Could it have been someone you gave a spare key? What did the cops say? Rob L.
  13. I don't like a lot of the drop bracket made for the XJ, because you usually have a big shelf to catch crap on in reverse. But, while I don't like a lot of things from them, Rocky Road outfitters have a sweet set of MJ specific DB's, that follow the MJ extra brace, and look good, as well as "ramp up" so it isn't just a rock anchor for stuff to grab at. Here's what I mean: Motion Offroad: See how the back is just a vertical piece that screams rock magnet? Now, RRO: The RRO ones have a nice taper, to help you slide off and on of obstacles, as well as just more general beef. If I don't go with the long arms like I want to, I am going to get the Rubicon Express short arm kit, and use the RRO brackets in place of the RE DB's. Rob L.
  14. That english? Rob L.

  21. Well if you can hear that "sound" it could be fluid leaking past the piston in the master... Rob L.
  22. Maybe the master has an internal seal leak? Are you positive that there isn't fluid coming down the firewall? Rob L.
