  1. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=20549 No. Words. For. This. Why, Darren, why? Do you not like us anymore? Do I smell? You need a hug? :dunno: Rob L. WHY!?!?!? :fs2:
  2. Flowmaster 40... Had one on the Eliminator, have one on the ZJ 4.0L... Sounds great at idle, a few people have thought I have the V-8 because of it... Sounds ricey at high RPM's, but you are pushing 6 cylinders through one muffler, so its going to no matter what ya put on. Rob L.
  3. Sweet Pete! I have been secretly watching the info also... and was going to comment when the milestones were reached... What should we do? Rob L.
  4. :agree: Get that grinder goin'! Rob L. :D
  5. No brainer. Ditch the car, get a jeep. Rob L.
  6. :agree: :agree: :agree: :agree: :agree: :agree: :agree: :agree: :agree: :agree: Yes, no sense in doing that IN the truck if avoidable. Rob L.
  7. :agree:  Rob L.
  8. Rocky Road Outfitters. rocky-road.com I believe. Rob L.
  9. :agree: Don't replace, upgrade. Rob L.
  10. Yep, Pat managed to break a U-joint backing into my driveway... :teehee: Rob L. ;)
  11. Make it happen! Rob L. :D
  12. Hmm... That makes me think it never overpowered the cap, but you should still replace it if its releasing early with a tester... Cheap insurance... Do you know if it was "actually" overheating, or could the idiot light just be messed up? Rob L.
  13. There should be a size adapter, or a fitting to get you from one to another... Tried napa? Rob L.
  14. It didn't release anything into the coolant overflow? Rob L.
  15. Is the 8.8 just a different sized fitting? Rob L.
  16. There is, and I would only reccommend that as a LAST resort... There are a few companies out there that offer a bolt on SOA, but it seems to be a weak point as its not hard welded to the axle. It also turns into a rock magnet with all the extra plates and junk hanging off of the bottom. I think there is a member or two that has a kit with those. Still easier and cheaper in my book to just burn some perches on. Can you wait to find an axle? Rob L.
  17. I know there has to be a member in your area or close who could help you tie a new SOA axle up... Rob L.
  18. Well said pete. I was going to mention that, but would rather pith the SOA. Rob L.
  19. The drop shackles for the chevy are actually very long... Some advise against using the long shackles because they can and do put more stress on the spring with the increase distance and leverage... You can pick the drop shackles off of ebay, usually they have 2 holes for different heights. But if you have plans to get a new axle anyway, why not wait, find one with the right gears, and do it right when you can? No sense in doing things twice, buying cheap parts to net small lifts now, or just save up for an axle, have a member help burn some perches on, and get it done right in one shot. Rob L.
  20. You can use chevy drop shackles to raise the rear a tad, but some would advise against it... Why no SOA? That would make things MUCH simpler. Rob L.
  21. So, was it the starter relay? Rob L.
  22. Thanks Dave, I think I should have a full set with the stuff I am getting from Brent and his pops. Brent, any idea how much tread was left? $50 is fine, as long as they aren't all drag slicks. Rob L.
  23. (Then we might have a problem) Rob L. ;)
