Not quite. Most of our truck (AMC years up to the change over) aren't in the Mopar records... And if they are, the body codes that once meant you had a limited slip rear end, somehow got translated into power sliding doors. Well, not exactly, but Mopar recycled a ton of the options codes, so they aren't all what they should be anymore. '90, '91, and '92 are the ones with the best info. Rob L.

Yes, and I would change it if you'll be that deep in. You'll have to pull the differential carrier, and knock them out... But I have never had a set that didn't leak out of the tubes after pulling axle shafts. I always replace them. You will need a torque wrench to put the bearing caps back on the carrier bearings. Yeah, I noticed it right away, but could definitely see how you could oversee it. Rob L.

Hey buddy, it says leer on the back hatch. I would get it. Show up with $100. Not much of a market for a topper for a 20+ year old truck. I like it because it has a notch for the cargo light. Mine doesn't. Rob L. :D

Cup Holder for XJ/MJ console
Automan2164 replied to 1987Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
In my experience, the side mounted cup holder holds drinks better. Sure, its in the passengers leg the whole time, but who cares? The one you linked was nice, but just seemed too shallow to hold anything unless you were on straight road. My vote would be for the side mount. Rob L. :D -
They can just be put in like a normal u-joint. You don't have to pull the diff to get the shafts out, but I have NEVER been able to pull the shafts and put them back in with the same seals without the seals starting to leak. Not a big deal, but it bothers myself. To pull the shafts out, take off the wheels, the calipers, the rotors, the hubs, and then they slide right out. The hardest part will be getting the hubs off of the knuckle if they haven't been out in awhile. I sometimes have trouble with the 3 bolts that hold the hub on, but a little heat right on the corner of the flange free's them up for me. To free a stuck hub, some guys have learned a trick where you loosen all the hub bolts, but keep them in, and toss a short 1/2" extension and socket on one of the bolts... Then start the truck and turn the wheel, using the turning force to pinch the extension in the axle/knuckle, and press the hub outward. Rob L.

Nope, but we do have a VIN decoder for Android. Rob L.

Welcome to the group! Be sure to ask any questions you have, we'll try to help the best that we can. Beer is in the fridge, try to stay off the tan couch in the corner. Rob L.

Yep. For today and tomorrow we are forecast for about 4". It's pretty rare though. The girls are home from school and they are out in the backyard building a snowman while Gus the Cocker Spaniel barks his fool head off at it because he's afraid of it. Notice the 'Bama hat. Image Not Found Didn't want to get in the picture? Nope, this goes your way buddy:  Thanks for putting this together! Rob L.

Yeah, she's the one that puts up with the constant ebb and flow of Jeep through the house. Helps that she's not bad on the old eyes. She's got a horse, I've got a bunch of Jeeps. Both are money pits, but I can stop spending money on mine if I have to. My running joke. (You don't have to feed an MJ everyday) But, unlike yourself, I haven't gotten her to perch up on to the MJ for a photo-op. :D Rob L.

Good eye! I've always had some sort of pets growing up, birds were one of them. When I got my own place, I got my own bird! My bird is a Blue-split Parrotlet. Its the smallest hook bill capable of speech. Its like having a big parrot personality in the small package. I knew I wanted a parrot, but not a screamer (like my mom's Cockatoo  ) Don't get me wrong, he screams, but being so little, its not ear piercing. His name is Tank: Trip to the vet (started plucking his feathers, turns out he was just emotional): Fun little guy... He's picked up "Heeeeey Buuuuuddy", "Ba-by", he'll throw his wings up and yell "What!?", he laughs with a wind up... more of a "Haaaaa-ha-ha" with wing movement, imitates dripping water, whistles, chirps like a baby chick, caws like an eagle circling in the sky, and makes weird noises all the time. Little personality all his own. Like having a 3 year old. Rob L.

I wish! The garage has roughly 9 foot ceilings, so I'll have to roll the top and bottom a bit, or hang it across sideways, but we'll make it work. Rob L. 8)

I hate you so much. Rob L. Ditto, since you have two JEEP banners, and I have none. :rotf: And the Jeep Radio... and the Comanche Pin... 8) Rob L.

Jim, while I respect you, I have a certain hate for you with things like this. I mean cheap, is one thing, but rust free on top of that!? I need to move out of the rust belt. :fs1: Because this is what a $150 MJ looks like by me: :ack: Congratulations brother. Rob L.

;) One is mine, one has been claimed by a local member, and I just might keep the other one to have a matched set... Sorry dudes! Rob L.

Well, as many of you know, I am a nerd for all things Jeep. The girlfriend was at a loss to find something for Christmas for me, when I stumbled on to a listing for some flags on Craigslist... So I asked for one, but when I saw them, had to get all three! These things are huge and super awesome! The CL pic does not do them justice, so I hung them up in my living room on my vaulted ceiling wall. My camera messed with the colors a bit, but they are really vibrant in person, not dulled out like they look. I was standing on the countertop in order to take the picture: Then I shuffled the GF in to show the hugeness of these things: They are good quality too... They are quadruple sewn on all the edges, each color is its own sewn section... Tough flags for sure. But, they won't see much of a harsh environment hanging in the garage! Rob L. :D

I say get it. And take some more pics of those graphics. That's the second time I have ever seen them. And send the rust free body my way, and any weird stuff, and the tail lights. Oh, and register it. Rob L.
