if yours is the stick shift with the key release latch type thing on it then it won't turn back.. mine doesnt. and its not like its stuck... it wasnt designed to. (mines a 89 sportruck manual with no options, just for reference)

is a YJ AX15 a direct swap into a comanche if i use my t-case? (its from a 6 cyl) and would the output shaft of a 93 be 21 or 23 spline... cause my 89 would have a 21 spline correct? i know ive got to fix up the crossmember to hold the different tranny but will i have to clock my t-case up at all?

the gearing is a very personal thing. also depends on trannys. from what i've heard/seen AW4 you shuold try to get the perfect gears manual: just go low

Oizarod115 replied to Hot Rod Jeep's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
my rear prop valve arm thing is long gone somewhere in West GA :brows: and i only lock them up when expected. IE when people do dumb stuff around me!#*$@ truck stops just like mum&bros XJs do while hauling 2 D44's and 2 spare 235 tires with rims and other goodies truck stopped fine. -
maybe he's a comanche-fan just like us! i mean, if halle barry drove one... the guy upstairs probably appreciates them too. :D

i couldve sworn you titled this never-sneeze i was like.... whats this got to do with rear shocks? ...DOH! :dunce:

DAMN! glad you're alright. might wanna invest in a steam cleaner for that seat :brows: that makes two of us that almost got taken out today! some woman on the cell phone came around a corner in a parkin lot (with dividers all over the place so i couldnt swerve) straight at me! locked up 2 of em and skidded like 10 ft i was torqued up more than the pinion nut on a 17yr old jeep!

rear proportioning valve

i've heard about people ditching it for an XJ rear prop. valve, maybe you could look into that? -

MJ rear bed fender flares are same as XJs????
Oizarod115 replied to Jeepmaniac2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
pretty sure theyre different sizes. eagle compared the two side by side not to long ago and the comanche one was alot higher/longer IIRC. -
Just when everything was OK

jeepin.com did a write up of an install on one. i used blue rtv along with the gasket like they did. you might need a pipe wrench to get the long skinny tube out of the old one. (mines an 89 though) -
i couldnt figure out why my blower for the heat stopped workin for nearly a month in the dead of winter. (GA winter but still.. I'm easily cold :brows: ) never dawned on me to check the fuses...NUR NA NURRR. PO had the wrong size fuses in EVERY spot. 15s instead of 25s and such. so alot of them were blown. and i figured out what the funky lookin thing in my dash compartment was! the hazards relay... :D :D good to know that it is easy to fix if things actually do stop working by their own faults. gracias. (cw is right.. this is alot like the broken hood cable thread. lifesaver if you know it beforehand)

just FYI the tailgate disconnects with no tools, just manuever it funny and it pops right off. you probly knew that but i certainly didnt til my brother showed me.
-
crikey! she's a beaut! nice manche... you paint her? or get it done? (thought itd be appropriate given recent events)
-
i didnt make off that easy but i remember HO injectors being dirt cheap and renix ones being a complete rip off.
-
from what i understand from previous discussion of the matter... no, the 2wd AX15s can't be turned into 4x4 without alot of troublesome (maybe even impossible) work. I'm sure someone else has a more definate answer though
-
invest in a mulcher and cement mixer like HotRodHeep said! :brows:

when i heard someone said "swordfish" instead of stingray and i was imagining this wild scene of him getting nailed by a swordfish straight thruogh the heart! i thought people swam with stingrays all the time? guess this is bad for business... he sure was a passionate wildlife man thats for sure!
-
the moral of this story is... either go with the renix injectors. or 5-0 injectors. as theyre both the same lb/hr rate. don't use one with higher lb/hr or lower. IIRC the 5-0 ones are cheaper for a set but i might be wrong.

what good is an anglegrinder if you don't use it to chop off offensive peices of equipment on your rig!?! (as soon as my brother teaches me how to do this stinkin paypal thing my money is yours pete!)
-
ohh ok. I'm not confused anymore. my brother explained it to me a little bit. they were talking about nig tires, not stock ones. thanks -nick
