he says he has spark so CPS is probly good. no fuel pressure could either mean the truck is OUT OF GAS... (silly mistake, don't let a failed gauge let you down) probably not a blocked fuel filter if this just started happening out of the blue but you can replace it cheap and know thats good. check and be sure the pump has a full 12v and then pull the line before the filter and see how much (if any) it pumps.

if you adjusted the TPS with the idle screw in its current location then the tps adjustment is good. you need to set the base idle with the screw, then adjust the TPS to its happy place after it idles right. most likely there was another problem causing the bad idle and you've got the screw covering up the problem. check all the vacuum lines

HELP MJ won't crank over
Oizarod115 replied to kyleag89's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
you already tried putting it in neutral right? -
idk guys, something he found on the internet somewhere. his recipe seems to work just fine so I'm not gonna argue with him about it lol. maybe its for when the nut busts loose and you get yourself in the noggin with a ratchet!

to bad no commercial products were tested like wurth's rost-off. that stuff works wonders. my buddy makes his own atf-acetone+asprin and he SWEARS by it.

there's nothing wrong with rusty's anymore, they seem to have persevered through that muck. however i won't sit here and argue their side, nor argue with you about why they suck so bad. my friends and i still use them for stuff regularly, and in GA you get your products next day (ups ground) 9 times out of 10.

i have one and love it, but don't expect it to fit your shift knob without some clearancing. i had to hack a knob to make it work. also i removed the ratchet feature so that it wouldn't hold the throttle open because after maybe 20 minutes i realized that could be dangerous. fun to have though, and REALLY helps you be smooth with the truck in 4lo when on rough terrain where you would normally get jostled around and end up being wild with the throttle.

i have the same opinion as jeepcoMJ... except about people my age. (20) the general population of guys my age seem to be useless hotheaded and entitled idiots. (that comment isn't directed at you pat, just speaking about people ive known or met)

No Shift While Motor is Running Help Please
Oizarod115 replied to BORDENCOMANCHE's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
sounds like the pilot bushing could be binding up did you verify it fit nicely on the input shaft? -
I do have the 2wd model. not reaal sure because ive never had one myself but if it's like a ford/chevy anything like that, its REALLY easy, just messy. you'll want to invest in a hub packer and some good quality grease. (GLOVES) a hammer and screwdriver will gently take the center cap off, then the cotter pin, nut retainer, and the nut should be gently tight (use adj. wrench) pull the rotor off, the outer bearing will fall right out, put the rotor back on, spin the nut on a few threads, and yank the rotor off/down whacking the inner bearing on the nut, and pulling it and the seal out of the rotor. remove the nut, the rotor, the bearing and seal, use hammer and punch to remove the old races, install the new races, bearings and seals (make sure you pack the bearings with grease with a packer, don't just wipe them down) re-assemble and don't tighten the nut to much or you'll stress out the bearings, just a little bit and spin the rotor to see how it feels. you may need to get a set of bearing race drivers? ive never done it without them don't know if there is a way to install them otherwise?

500 sounds like a deal to me, from what i recall the unit bearings for a 4wd truck run upwards of 100$ a piece, and getting them separated from the knuckle is a BIATCH. i've had both of mine off years ago, ahd to take one back off a couple weeks ago and it was a fight all over again. if you happen to have the 2wd model that has standard bearing in rotor design thats easy breezy, and i'm not saying you can't do your own hubs just saying it does suck, expect to spend 2 hours a side at least if theyre stuck good. i just tried to lookup the bearings for MY truck on autozone's website jsut to see if i remembered correctly and they were listing the incorrect parts for my truck (don't know about yours) for 7.99$ this is DEFINITELY not the case for me.

probably not because of the amount of slick ps fluid going to be there it won't adhere properly. a pump can't cost that much and is fairly easy to replace. used would be fine, they aren't known for problems.

you've gone to far man... i gotta argue on this one! iCarly is on disney and it's my favorite show in the whooolewideworld. :rotfl2: just kidding! i don't have enough time for tv between a full time 8-5 a weekend job, and night school, my free time does homework and hangin out with friends.
