  1. True.......But there is also a adjustment screw on the back of the TB where the throttle lever sits, and this can "fine" tune the idle up or down. right, if yuo manually adjust the idle screw you're going to need a teensy tiny allen and then afterwards you need to check the adjustment on the TPS to be sure the computer knows that the throttle is still "closed" since you just opened it a little bit. you ought to be able to safely adjust the screw while it's running so that you can get a good feel for where its at.
  2. so did you go win her back or are you done with her? :waving: people want to know these things!

  5. friday shot a lower radiator hose off and had to "trail repair" it in the chili's parkin lot, then got it goin, went back to the shop and swapped it for my DD. then spent all saturday pulling explorer leaf packs, v8 zj steering and pokin around for ax15s and good 97+ body panels.
  6. Yeah, it will work, he's also runnin 35 brakes cause they were brandy new when he scored the axle
  7. I think my buddy is runni that setup currently I'll call him ad repost
  8. 800 is probly closer to right anyways, may want to pull the idle air control from the throttle housjng and give it a good cleaning with some carb cleaner. You can adjust the idle up a little if you want the higher idle
  9. don't do that... that's just slack! plus it'll end up where you can turn slightly more one direction than the other.
  10. How do you expect it to run if you don't have the engine control sensors connected? :smart: :rotfl2:
  11. good deal, LCAs is what fixed death wobble on my stock height truck. to center the steering wheel drive straight ahead (like down the driveway or something then park (with the tires straight ahead, steering wheel off) then loosen the bolts on the sleeve that goes from the passenger knuckle to the pitman arm, and rotate the sleeve until the steering wheel/pitman arm are centered up.
  12. you said you replaced an o-ring at the fuel rail, any way you accidently got something inthere an plugged it up? like the old o-ring perhaps?
  13. said enough for me so i'll just repost it. :Canadaflag: :USAflag:

  15. That's a custom unit made of 1/4" stainless. It's going to be in the way when the winch bumper goes on though... so it's gonna go on the shelf for now. Also, gotta wait for getting the new-to-me box. My trailer is held up for a few weeks with my YJ buddy... that's what I get for being "that guy with the trailer". :shake: thanks, i just read the rest of the thread and revised that post a minute ago lol. i think I'm gonna go with the drawtite one.
  16. got a tag for it!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: i own it finally instead of it being registered to my brother! then on the way home the lower rad hose shot off and i had to pull over and make a trail repair... luckily i was riding around a buddys screwdriver i had to get warrantied for him and that was the only tool i needed! drove back to the shop and swapped it out for the volvo DD :chillin: going JYin this saturday lookin for leaf packs, v8 tie rods, scouting for ax15s and mounts, fender, 2 doors, vent windows? unless i get 97+ doors, floor lights, and tow hooks!
  17. hit the junkyards cruising for XJs with alot of options, particularly power mirrors, i would bet the glass says heated if they are (usually has a logo on it or somehting, never seen it on a cherokee though)
  18. nice build! i love how far a can of spray paint goes towards making a wheel opening look good :clapping: good upgrades goin on here!
  19. May want to cehck under the dash for missing connections, or pul the cluster and follow connectors to be sure something didn't get pulled around when you wer under there
  20. sounds like the motor will turn over just not light off.
  21. if the connectors arent the problem (they probly are) then turn the key to off, then back to run and listen out the door for the fuel pump to buzz. should run for about 2 seconds to prime it. sucks man. :ack: only question is WHY CAN'T YOU SEARCH BETTER JEEE WIIZZ MAN. SHEESH. ;)
