  1. Yeah you may pay alittle more in gas but if you break down then how much for towing it back if had too? I'm not trailering mine but I pray I won't break anything, but If I do, then I will figure something out but that's me and I don't have the option to trailer her down either. To me though you should be able to drive you rig on the road and be able to go any where with it off road. I'm big on maintaining that DD weekend worrier idea. So the choice is yours, to be safe or save a little in gas?
  2. Still not as dirty as you were. Got to take down some better dirt roads.

  6. What's the matter don't know how to load your rig on a trailer? :teehee:
  7. 1) Pull the fenders 2) unbolt the hinges 3) cut the bottom section of hinge that on side that attaches to the door. 5) Once cut, hammer fender side hinge down until it sepreates from the pin 6) Mount hinge back on with bolts, or if hinge is tearing away from fender like a can of tuna, weld it back on like yeh, and prep the metal for rust unlike me... 7) mount fender 8) lube pins with 3-1 oil/ WD/etc. and slide doors on 9) latch somehow 10) Enjoy!

  13. thanks for the info. with the hood up the latch works fine. the drivers side latch, not on hood ,looked like it moved so i moved it where i thought it should be. it worked easier. i sprayed everything with pb blaster. going to use some cold temperature lithium based grease. its called ' lubriplate aero'. iso 9001. i wonder why they didn't use 6 or even ten more latches. i could have them across the whole front end. He!! I think two is overkill... they only needed one.. ,, but a jeep hood really locks down nice and tight though. Don't mind jt he like things tight, but who dosen't right? :D

  19. I'm planning on it just trying to ensure I got the 4x4 working before I go. But It wouldn't stop me from going if don't have the 4x4.
  20. Could be that the clutch not disengaging all the way. I know once mine started to shift harder in gears, I replaced the clutch, but did'nt help my sycrows were going. So I babyed it for as long as I could, but I drove it for to long and was way past doing a simple swap of new synrows, I would had to pretty much just buy a remanufactored one. So I just scraped it. So what I'm saying is look into replaceing the syncrows sooner than later and your tranny shall last a lot longer.
