  2. Pull the whole drivetrain, check what you need to check then mate up the AX-15 to the different engine and drop it all back in when your ready. But you can pull the tranny without the engine, as well as you can pull the t case without pulling the tranny. Just easier to pull everything at once if swapping engines.. Axle, just wire wheel it up real nice then use rust prevented primer and paint it. If you earch through the Projects thread you'll find some good ideas as to what you want to do.

  4. The mounting point for the lower control arm, from center of hole for bolt on the LCA to the first bolt for the crossmember is 6". So the bolt closet to the front of the jeep measure 6" towards the front of jeep and mount LCA bracket center hole there.

  10. Well picked up some used shocks from MidMichxj, great guy there, but yeah so I cleaned them up some and got them on the jeep tonight. Ride is a lot better of course, now I don't have to worry to much about the DW, so I can take the highway again This be only temp until I get the steering made up and maybe I can hold out now to get me some piggyback shocks that I been looking at.

  16. Not necessarily. A 2wd with a locker has as many drive wheels as a 4x4 with open difs. And going uphill when you need the traction, weight gets transferred toward the rear axle. I have seen a K10 with locker and removed front ds (after it broke) have less trouble on the trail than an FJ40 with open difs. don't got a locker or posi lim slip :grrrr: take the f250. ;)
  17. exactley, I wanted to light the gas tank up, but you know. Did have a bon fire that night though. But yeah going to be hard to climb the jeep with only 2wd? :dunno: MOre gas I guess :brows:

  20. cork you need be more cation or else it will crack, there cheap temp fix, but the specs are the same, it's spec for permanent gasket.
  21. well just do it hand tight and recheck after a week, don't snap the blot off, did it and it sucks.
