Here's a local guy That built this up in two months. Has Rusty's 8" LA set up and a fuel cell in the bed powered with a 4.6 stroker with a nice snorkel.

Well obvisloy the center console won't work with the bech seat in there from an XJ, unles you are referring to the mini console which it will work with the auto. However I might suggest keeping the 5 sp just upgrading to an ax-15. pull the inner fender skirt and you should be able to reach up the fender to the bottom side of the attenna which should have a lock nut on it holding it place.

when you replace some worn part you make the other worn parts feel left out, so they act up more to get your attention. Have you replaced your tie rod ends? Perhaps a bad tire balance/flat spot? And ensure your track bar is good and tight.

You aren't talking to Jeep people. The rear main seal in my '88 XJ was changed in the vehicle -- no lift. I know several people from NAXJA who have done it ... including a few who also replaced all the rod bearings ... with the engine in the vehicle. Yes, it can be done. X2 All the shops I talked to told me a 4-6hr job and they had to pull the tranny and all this BS and I told no they don't but they said well it's what the book says and quoted me out around $500 bucks so I went and bought the gasket and went and did it myself. Just jack her up hi and took the calibers off the wheel, like a brake pad job, and lowered the axle. Had no problem getting the pan out. took me 6 hrs and this was my first time and just getting into working on the jeep or any car period, beside a oil job which I had messed up my fist time as well thinking I could drain the oil from the oil filter. :oops:

Well the CJYJ have an actual group thing that is pushed at the dealer ship. My old man bought his TJ and was given a mag for Jeep owners and it talk about all this waving idea. So ever since then my old man waves to other jeeps.

As far as the jeep wave goes it varies. I find more people driving jeeps don't understand the whole morale in driving a jeep. But with my MJ I'd get waves from other jeeps, as well as in my XJ. More in my XJ then anything but I wave to other jeeps that are lifted being they are the ones that generally understand the "It's a jeep thing" idea. But I get people that always come up and check out the jeep at gas stations and all that. So yeah, it varies, being there are plenty of times the girl laughs at me cause I waved at a jeep and they waved back, then sometimes they don't. She don't under stand it either.
