  2. id say its worth about $200, but i'll give you twice that ;)
  3. so glad i don't have to worry about those ;)
  4. JET TURBINE COMANCHE!!!!!! although it looks like they just use it to dry off the track, but still.....
  5. that would look amazing towing my MJ crawler...
  6. that green truck is the gladiator concept from a few years back. came around before the JKs were released to test the waters. Instead of the whole truck, all we got was the front end's facelift on the JKs. My bet is that the pickup will be based off the upcoming Jeep Wagoneer, which is replacing the Durango after 2016. By then, the JK is up for a makeover as well. From what i've read, the new Liberty is looking more like a Subaru Outback than a Jeep  Wagoneer 2014 Liberty
  7. close. The green Moose-buggied CJ8 looks to have the Overlander top. AFAIK, the Alaskan Postal Jeeps didnt have the window on the side:

  10. "JP" refers to JP Magazine. That particular comanche was built by Pete Trasborg for the 'Sh!tbox Derby' and started life as a '91 2wd MJ. Its is still used as a workhorse by the mag. http://www.jpmagazine.com/projectbuild/ ... _comanche/

  13. my kinda show!! but the enviro-junkies are gonna have a field day with this :fs2:
  14. the JK8 does nothing for me. Its alot of money to spend on something that is only for looks. However, my favorite part of the JK8's is that the rear cupholders are still in place, even though the rear seat has been removed. yea its molded into the center consol, but its just funny to me :clapping:
  15. i used the ballistic fab coil/shock/lower arm mounts on an 89 ford d60 and while i havent wheeled them yet, i liked them. i did need to do some custom cutting on one side of one of the pieces to fit around the drivers side of the differential. for the UCA mount on the axle side, i got a piece of 1/2" thinck x 4" wide stock that was like 30 something inches long, made a few cuts and bent it to shape using a press, then filled in the cuts with welding rod.

no love for the Comanche Chief crowd?? :(
  17. right?? besides, id rather have an RC Zone Comanche
  18. i won't do a 'comp cut' in the traditional sense, but i am still trying to figure out if i want to: A.) keep the bed stock length, and eventually dove tail it. B.) bob the bed and keep it stock width C.) both A and B (bobbed and dovetailed) D.) flatbed/tube bed right now, i feel like i will most likely bob the bed, and then when it gets too thrashed and its a trail-only vehicle, ditch whats left of the bed, and throw in some tube back there decisions decisions....
  19. WENT WHEELIN YESTERDAY!!!!! ok it was only in my GFs stock TJ. And she drove most of the time, but it was nice to get out on the trails again. I was PUMPED that she drove the whole trail :D and she didnt need a whole lot of spotting either ;) in other news, I picked up some JK fenders for the Chief. I havent gotten any further than just eyeing them up, (as i want to wait til i flex it out to figure out where i'll need to trim the fenders to), but I'm at a crossroads with the rears. do i want the drivers side fender on the drivers side, or should i swap the rears side for side? thoughts?? driver flare on drivers side passenger flare on drivers side

    tire humping

That was legit Brett and good stuff. Not just a bunch of posers in a parking lot. I really enjoyed watching the live stream of the KOH. I can't recall the name of the obstacle, but at one point during the race it did look like a parking lot and rigs were driving over rigs in order to keep moving. that was at the bottom of 'chocolate thunder'. i also watched it streaming live on the 70" LCD flat screen at work
  21. ok played with the rears. you can see the stock uncut fenders still in place. coverage is perfect with the wide rear axle and tires. first up is drivers side flare on the drivers side: and next up is the passenger side flare on the drivers side of the truck; thoughts??
  22. here's some heavily trimmed JK flares on a newer body style XJ. looks good, just needs bigger tires IMO
