  6. thats the way to do it. when i moved from MA to UT, i did the 2700+ mile drive in 3 days. It sucked. the middle states arent called the 'fly-over' states for nothin' haha. but if you plan the right route, it would be a blast. def take your time, do your homework, and set yourself up for a sweet roadtrip!!
  7. i like the snorkel
  8. nice!! maybe i will start a 'running tally' on who is a definite yes and who is a maybe. So far, I am in, sounds like Backdraft is in, Dirteatr717 is in, and 87Warrior and drcomanche are maybes. Plus i know a few local guys that will be down for a Moab trip (both MJs and non MJs)
  9. yea Buddy!! now lets talk details on this Moab trip :MJ 1:
  10. those tires alone are worth the asking price
  11. 22FEET?!
  12. i would, but the build won't be done for another few months, and the new DD pickup will most likely be happening in the next few weeks. guess work is gonna have to work :(
  13. WOW incredible truck!! seen a bit of this on Pirate, but seeing the work that youve put in really shows off the rig. Well done
  14. I'm looking into buying a new truck that will from time to time be used as a tow rig once the Chief gets finished. However, it will mostly see daily driving responsibilities. Right now, I'm trying to figure out if a half ton truck will suffice, or if I need to move up into 3/4 ton territory. The MJ is an 88 short bed, stock 4.0 drivetrain, but with d60 front and a 14 bolt rear, currently sitting on 37's. Any educated guesses as to where this will land on the scales? I know that in stock trim, curb weight is a hair under 3k lbs., so I'm guessing that it'll be in the area of 4500 lbs. when fully built?
  15. sold. but i think a local guy got it and is doin a 4wd swap, possibly with some of my old parts ;)
  16. wasnt that for some movie??
  17. apartment :( I'm already pushing my luck with 3 vehicles
  18. http://saltlakecity.craigslist.org/cto/3336794589.html 2wd, 5spd, 4.0, short bed if i had the space to park it, id be all over this; id love to have a 2wd truck to build into a street/scca/rally truck. maybe lower it an inch or two, add some SRT8 wheels from the WK....

  21. it doesnt have to be mid summer. I'm up for suggestions.
  22. yup. some are 21 spline, some are 23 spline.
  23. Start saving your pennies, we're goin to Moab!! I figure since its still like 7 months away, you guys can figure out what needs to be done in order to make the trip. There are a few of us that have started the idea via instagram, but it'll just be easier to get a running dialog on here. Obviously, the dates are waaay up in the air, so feel free to chime in and let us know what works or doesnt work. I'm pretty flexible, (and only 3 hours away), but will be more than happy to be the lead on this end of things. ROLL CALL!!!!!!
