  1. I have a bad transfer case that doesn’t work in 4 high and slips in 4 low. I plan on putting a new one in and was gonna go to the junkyard to get the same one which is 231 j. When I got get a new one would I have to make sure the splines are the same for the drive shaft I have or could I just throw it in it and ride? Also any recommendations on what to do and what not to do when changing it?
  2. I upgraded from my pugeot to my aisin without issue, except now the transfer case linkage is out of place by an inch and a half or so (seems the entire bracket that's bolted to the body is too far forward)? Am I the only one with this problem, or have others dealt with it, and if so how?
  3. Just got a '92 NP242J out of a '92 4.0 HO, automatic. What I want to put it into: 1990 4.0 AX15. Will I have to switch out the shaft? I believe it's a 23 spline, I'm just not sure about the length.
  4. Hi guys, so here's the deal. I have a 1990 AX15 with a bad NP231 (chain broke, cracked the case, etc). I also have a 1987 BA10 with a good NP231, but the tranny itself is bad. So, what does it take to put the good NP231 from the French POS onto the good AX15?
