he's referring to the little plastic gear in the speedo cable where it goes into the trans. a very simple swap. :thumbsup: and you might not even have to do anything depending on your tire size. when the axle swap is all done, check your speed against a gps and see how accurate your speedometer is.

are you prepared to pay for a 5-6" lift for the front? SOA is a lot of lift and has a ton of costs that go with it (bigger tires, gears for those bigger tires, lift for the front, shocks, brake lines, etc) and don't forget that you have to move the perches anyway. XJ perches are in a different location.

I've read that grand cherokee disks are a good swap. :thumbsup:

yup, we're behind in updates. waaaaayyyyyy behind. a while back we tried to update using the closest patch and it resulted in an very unstable and completely unusable forum. I've been working with our hosts to find a solution, but so far nothing has showed any promise. that's why I think converting to another software might be our best bet. if the transition goes reasonably smoothly, we'd instantly get all the upgrades and updates that guys have been asking for and I should no longer have to weed through 50+ spammers a day to manually approve the real people hidden amongst them. win-win. :D and I imagine we could always convert back to phpbb if there really were that much outrage over change. :dunno:

MJ rockers are different, but I do believe I've heard of XJ sheetmetal being used on an MJ (with some massaging). could be wrong about that though. the cab corner of course doesn't exist on an XJ.

I ask because our trucks usually rust from the inside-out. especially the rockers, floor and bedsides. that to me looks like it started on the inside and is rusting out the seams. :(

and a 4wd trans, and a proper length rear shaft (most guys seem to get their old one shortened) and all the proper linkages. :thumbsup: don't forget that your front and rear gear ratios have to match.
