    I don't think this is the main issue, but is there any oil dripping down on your exhaust crossover pipe? mine did a similar thing and it was oil dripping on the hot exhaust. caused a strong oil smell.

    the blowby in my 88 is so bad I installed a catch jug before the filter. still drove it out to Moab and back. near all 4.0s will have oil in the filter. Cruiser's tips cover how to reduce it substantially.

    oh no, this would have always been a tremendous tool for drivers. but could you imagine a 1990s shoulder camera mounted to your dash.

    regardless of the outcome, I would get a dash cam so this doesn't happen again.

    oh, most definitely. it's a good song, I'm just not sure why it was this morning's earworm. haven't seen it since the nephews were real little. but it's not like my unconscious brain has ever before clued me in to the rhyme or reason so why start now.

    there are different ways. one involves an extra t-case of sorts. one has the input at the top of the axle and power goes into the diff, but also passes right out to the rear axle. I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones off the top of my head here the top has an input, and an output. usually found in giant military-style axles like the bigger Rockwells.

    turns out they will become open at exactly 8pm EST. discovered it's a optional feature of the lock button. learn something new every day! I'll probably make them visible a bit before that.

    what sort of shape is your sending unit in?

    I guess it's kinda like hockey. the ruling on the ice is that you were at fault, and now it's up to you to overturn it with clear evidence. barring having that, I would also agree to let it go and chalk it up to life experience. at least no one was injured. it could have been much, much worse.
