  1. I only ordered a few of each, but I can get more at any time. Some of you may notice that the star MJ isn't a solid green like before. That's because the printing process would make that custom color I used look crappy. So we went with this, which is made of better colors.
  2. I am curious as to why that truck has the heavy duty rear axle, but not the heavy duty leaf packs. :hmm:
  3. The AMC 20 is most certainly an upgrade to the Dana 35. Some junkyards will not blink an eye if you bring in an MJ axle for a core that doesn't quite match the one you're buying. But the core charge means that thye will buy your Dana 35 from you for $25. I can't see how that's a fair trade since you should be able to sell a good condition 4.10 Dana 35 for more than that. I'd buy the 20 for $100 and then sell the 35 to a private party.
  4. Oh, I've done my fair share of 2wd wheelin' (the 88 was 2wd and my only vehicle for many years), but for the moment the rear axle in the 88 is broken and the 90 doesn't have a rear axle at all. :D Rear axles tend to be important. :teehee:
  5. I'd love to. All I need is a functioning 4x4. :( I find it ever so slightly ironic that it's the closest wheeling spot to me, but I've never been there. :hmm: :teehee:
  6. Yeah, owning an AMC-20 is cool. :D I wish mine wasn't so rusty though.
  7. Unfortunately, the driveshafts are probably not the right length, you will need a 4wd trans that bolts to a 2.8L (4.0L transmissions won't), and you'll need to check that the t-case has a 21 spline input. Oh, and the gear ratios need to match front to rear (if the front axle came from a 4.0L/stick, than it has 3.0 gears and that will suck) Just some info for you if you do sell the parts: Front axle is a Dana 30 and all sticks behind 4.0Ls are 5-speeds.
  8. I had success cleaning the solenoid once.
  9. Could be corrosion, either in the battery cables going to the starter, or inside the starter itself. If there's corrosion, then it can't flow enough electricity to turn over the engine. I would start with the cables.
  10. Yup, just the typical spam.
  11. As if that's the only place my engines leak... :teehee:
  12. Woo Hoo! My WJ lower control arms arrived!
  13. Picked up these rubber washers at the hardware store. :D Not one of my MJs came to me with a gasket there. Now they all have one. No more cranking hard on the drain plug to seal it up.
  14. car-part.com shows the disconnect through 93. :dunno: I often wonder where they get all the info they have.
  15. You'll need to make sure both the inner and outer shafts accept the 297s. They are bigger than the stock MJ 260s. Dana 44 sized. :D
  16. This is available out there somewhere, right? Autozone and Murrys don't seem to carry anything bigger than 4' lengths. Going to try NAPA later today. Since it seems I have to do the ends myself using the current fittings (from the 95 XJ master and prop), I'd prefer not to buy the expensive straight lengths that come with fittings I don't need.
  17. I assume you mean 4.56? That should be good for a 2.5L and 31s. Personally I go right to 4.88s, but that's just me. :D I prefer deep gears over driving 80 mph.
  18. Yeah, but then he won't have the atlas for the next truck. :D
  19. You need to swap in new seal with the new solid axle. Now's the time to get both shafts and get ones with the bigger U-joints. :D Cause bigger is better. http://www.madxj.com/MADXJ/technical/te ... dSeals.htm
  20. The 2.5Ls are very sensitive to increases in tire size. Also, make sure your cat isn't plugged up.
  21. I've thought about that, but felt it was too much a a pain to our members just to weed out the occasional spammer. Plus sometimes they're a little entertaining! I wonder where he got his Engynering degree?
  22. I'm not even sure I could fit one in the bed. :hmm:
  23. I've heard nothing but good stuff concerning the OME shocks. :D
