  1. nope, he was the guy pretending to be Jewish. then pretending to be black. basically just being a jerk. The hitler costume was actually acceptable, since halloween is about scary/silly costumes, and that guy was about the scariest human ever. It could have been a completely different thread if other guys chimed in with their own costume ideas.
  2. please read rule #2. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16664
  3. essentially for purposely causing undue drama, even after several warnings. and it was a couple days ago when that happened.
  4. that's why I always suggest just asking questions. The collective knowledge on this board is quite impressive.
  5. hard to say. all leafpacks are different. I'm guessing he'd lose 2" if he used just the explorer pack, but gain back an inch with leaf thickness and the extra leaf in there. Once you have a pile of leafs sitting there, you can mix and match to get it perfect. also, it's been suggested to use a masonry bit to drill out the centering hole in the leafs.
  6. yup, 97+ XJs (the dana 35 was used at the same time so be sure it's the right axle). A Liberty rear axle should work too, and some had disk brakes.
  7. half inch. But XJ shackles are too short for the MJ leafpacks. One guy actually had an XJ shackle flip up on him. Explorer leafpacks can also be used. In fact, if that truck was mine, I'd go get a set of Explorer leafpacks, cut the eyes off, and put the entire thing under the current MJ main leaf. The truck will sit a bit lower, and you'll get the added benefit of the extra leaf helping to fight springwrap. Just be aware that the Explorer leafpacks use a slightly larger centering hole and you'll need to bore out the MJ main leaf a tiny amount to use the bigger bolt.
  8. shortbed MJs can be found with a Dana 44 rear, independent of the Metric Ton package (which was a longbed-only thing).
  9. 2wd leafpacks or 4wd?
  10. starting? Dude, you NEED to pull the carpet out.
  11. nope. his name is Eric.
  12. sounds like a rear main seal leak to me. most of the oil would be pushed out while on the throttle and then would drip down and spray back on the exhaust and undercarriage.
  13. what's wrong with the tires you've got? going bigger isn't always better. more stress on parts and even less power (if you don't re-gear), all for an inch more ground clearance.
  14. Yup. Would have too. but apparently someone blabbed to MJslaya and he just couldn't help himself but to post up to rub it in (he knows Ben and Darren outside of CC).
  15. Ben has indeed had his posting privileges revoked for 2 weeks. Not exactly a "ban", more like a "go stand in the corner for a time out".
  16. just don't look too closely. :D Both are missing floors and rockers. and that's the "good" side of the 90's bed.
  17. I can't afford to give them what they need. money conservation is key at this point in time. But I might be bringing the 90 over to the garage pretty soon so I can at least work on the fuse panel issue.
  18. what about some sort of aluminum angle iron along the edge of the bed?
  19. power = normal comfort = fuel suckin', grandma ridin', pile of wussiness. (individual results may very) :D
  20. not much of an update, but beggars can't be choosers. :D New tarp:
  21. just an fyi, longbed MJs have both their rear shocks mounted in front of the axle. shortbeds are both behind the axle.
  22. is there oil on your exhaust crossover pipe?
  23. Look! I actually did something to my trucks. :D New tarps! ewww... I put a larger one on the 88 so it would fully cover the bed and it even covers the cab a bit. and the 90 just looked atrocious with the pallet/tarp combo that was sitting there simply because I had to put it somewhere.
  24. I always read stickies when I first join a forum. Unless its like on customfighters.com in their general streetfighter discussion section. Over half the threads on the first page are stickies. You may well be in the minority. soooo many times we have to tell people to post a price in the classifieds. soooo many times I get emails asking if I have any stickers or such. and once in a while we get a post from someone asking what they should do since their hood won't pop up. :shake:
