  1. 3820 people have registered since day one.
  2. refresh people. gotta refresh. :D
  3. Alright, I rounded it up to 300 even and will be leaving for the post office shortly. But if anyone else would like to chip in a few bucks, I'll get it to him one way or another.
  4. VIN? Did it still have the body kit? How much if you sent me the glovebox door with the tag on it? Rob L. Didn't get the VIN. Every piece of the body kit was trashed. The glovebox didn't have the tag. But I could see the outline of where it was before someone snagged it. I'd probably still get the body kit pieces. When I say "trashed", I mean cracked and broken into a million pieces. It was hardly recognizable as a Street Comanche. I stand by my statement. :D
  5. the block itself should bolt to the head with minimal fuss. that's what I've read at least. the pilot bushing/bearing may be an issue but I think someone found a cure for that. I think. :dunno:
  6. so apparently I've forgotten how insanely early my bank closes in the middle of the week. :fs1: so I guess everyone has one more day. so far we've raise $242.
  7. and you'll need to unbolt the motor mounts from the XJ and use them in the MJ. they go right in.
  8. hose down every nut and bolt with PB Blaster or other rust penetrant (NOT wd-40) for days and days ahead of time. be prepared for lots of broken bolts and frustration. it's just part of working on a rusty Jeep. front suspensions are the same, but the leafs on the XJ are very different than MJ leafs. Keep reading! especially the DIY forum and this thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14213
  9. the 4wd conversion is a bolt-in procedure. The 4.0L conversion is pretty much bolt-in too. just replicate what you see on the XJ over on the MJ. take your time, take lots of photos (so you know where things go and what they looked like in the XJ), and do whatever it takes to stay organized. I made a huge spreadsheet in excel when I did my 4wd conversion.
  10. tell ya what, I'll buy one tomorrow and ship it to you along with some club cards and a magnet. just PM me your address.
  11. what part of the renix engine blew up?
  12. Do you prefer auto or manual transmissions? the ax-4 will not bolt to the 4.0L, so that's out right there. probably the easiest swap will be the most thorough. Gut the MJ completely and swap over everything from the XJ. you'll still need a rear driveshaft (most of us get the 2wd shaft shortened), splice the MJ rear lights' wire harness to the XJ harness, and some exhaust work.
  13. I'm pretty sure I warned you about the addictive qualities of MJs... :D
  14. big thanks to all who have donated!    I'll be sending out a postal money order tomorrow afternoon (along with a box of stuff). If anyone is sending something my way via snail mail, lemme know now so I can add it all into one check.
  15. If anyone wants to send a care package, just PM me and I'll forward his address. x eleventy billion. :(

RAM is cheap on ebay. just gotta figure out what kind of card you have.
