Attach pdf drawing. Budde Sheet Metal, Dayton Ohio made them for me and cost was $30 each plus tax in 2015. They have a minimum order so I ordered a dozen but it took a year for me to sell them all. latch handle jeep.PDF

front springs to accommodate sb350
husky410ohio replied to comancheel's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have 4 wheel drive and Superlift 3" lift with longer lower control arms and shocks from Tyres International and works for my 350. If you have 4wd this is the minimum lift you need or the oil pan will hit axle or the front drive shaft hits the oil filter. -

355 swap w/ax15 what slave and such to use
husky410ohio replied to cerial's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Please take some pictures I would like to see. Sorry can not help with the slave cylinder I have the McLeod hydraulic throwout bearing. I used the advance adapter motor mounts and headers. If I would do it again I would use cast iron exhaust manifolds. It is a tight fit. -

Under carpet/vinyl insulation recommendations?
husky410ohio replied to big66440's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Can we buy the vinyl new for our truck? I do not want carpet. -
I have a Venture Truck Parts dana 60 rear axle that I am collecting parts with a detroit locker that someday I will install. Currently working on the Yukon free spin for the front dana 30 with one piece axle and larger u-joints. Yesterday I worked on new ball joints.
-
I am installing The Yukon free spin kit on my 88 comanche. The kit included the new 5-760X U-joints and outer axle shafts. I cannot use my existing inner axle shafts because they use the smaller 5-260X U-joints. I need the Spicer part number for both driver side and passenger side inner axle shafts for the 5-760X U-joint. I do not use the the CAD so the one piece passenger axle with a new NAPA NOS 11800 seal installed at the differential would be good.

The Timken wheel bearing I pictured above must have been defective. I have only driven it about 300 miles. I only drove to Heuston Woods last year and to work several times around town. Jacked the truck on Sunday to check why I hear noise when turning and found the bearing unit is very loose. I saved my receipt and box and will ask if they will take it back.

I see the Lafarge sign each year when I drive to Marblehead in the summer and take the ferry to Kellys Island. Congratulations on the new job.

If anyone has a handle that is rust out I only 3 more 304 stainless steel handles in stock and do not plan to make more. http://hoppityhop.com/epages/fda5557b-fb08-47d0-8a50-d23668ec27f8.sf/en_US/?ObjectPath=/Shops/fda5557b-fb08-47d0-8a50-d23668ec27f8/Products/%22Comanche%20Jeep%20MJ%22 -
To install the Auto meter gauges remove the instrument cluster and disconnect the speedometer cable and the two electrical connectors. I cut off the plastic corners of the instrument cluster from the back. I then sheared a piece of aluminum sheet and hole sawed it to fit the auto meter gauges. I added the Auto meter fuel gauge after I took the pictures below.

Both my brother and I had many batteries in our Jeep CJs. We found the optima lasted much longer due to the heat, shock and vibration in lifted and stiff shocks on the Jeeps. For the Comanche the standard battery with universal tray is ok. Not sure if the DirtBound universal tray has all the bolts. I think I went to the home Depot for the three bolts and nuts for attaching it because the existing bolts are too rusted.
