Just installed rebuilt motor was ideling and running great. Now since its getting colder out idels and backfires through throttle body only when i first start up in the morning or sitting more then 8 hrs after it warms up it runs great. Any ideas 1990 2.5 thanks.

You can have valve cover if you want it i even have a gasket from rebuild kit. Just let me know.

You might try yanceys in perry/columbia. I bought a 1998 alluminum cover for $25.00 back in july make sure you get the bolts though. I got one not the best of shape it doesnt leak let me know. Did the egr tube and throttle body work for you.thanks

6 quarts in a 2.5 with 10 oz of brake in additive.

Yes checked when i got back only 5 miles. Then checked about 1/2 hour later.

Put in rebuilt engine added antifreeze oil etc. Took out for test drive everything was good when i got back checked oil it was a quart low. I this normal no oil leaks made sure dipstick was all the way down also. thanks

if i drill out were will the metal shavings metal shavings wind up. Any place that would damage bthe motor. thanks

Sorry 2.5 it went from bellhousing to i don't remember. I didnt do like you are supposed to do when you pull motor and mark everything.

Does anyone have a picture of the bar that goes from the bellhousing to the motor and what is it for. thanks

yes it was. He said somebody came took some parts off of it. Also said anything i want i can have. Was raining after work didnt want to be out in the rain. I did see the manifold and egr tube when i drove by. let me know if you still need
