I got everything spliced together everything works. I just wired 2 wires wrong. When turn signal goes on left or right only one part of turn signal works on the front. Then when i turn off it comes back on. I thought i read you don't use one of the black wires . thanks

I was going to use the block from the 88 then transfer everything over from the 1990 if i could. Is this possible. thanks

Parts that are good front and rear axels, transfercase, rear driveshaft, header panel with all side markers, hood, tail lights. both side glass. The bad all rusted out floores bed cab. I still need to fined out what gears are in it if i can get him to let me open front diff were would it be marked for gear ratio.

If i get this truck its got one on it looks pretty good shape.

Were would the casting number be.

The seller changed his mind. Now he wants $300. with out motor but everything else. Does this still sound like a good deal or not.

What ever came with 4.0 auto. The truck i am looking is all rusted out 2.5 runs good speedo says its got 180000ish on it tc is good trans hard to shift into 3rd gear. Interior seats door panel rough light are like brand new same with the tail lights. Hood and front header panel is good. Just one problem no place to keep.

Did not know that. So would you keep the none cad axel (1998) if that matters or would you get the cad axel if it has 4 10. He wants $200. for whole truck.

It was not engaged. Just spinned rotor and pinion turned. If thay are 4 10 could i change over everything from hp 30 to this axel or would i be better of saving my money and getting 4 10 in hp

The truck is sitting on blocks no wheels. I can turn the disk brakes and watch pinion turn just don't know how to tell by turning rotor and watching pinion. I did turn tonight pinion went around 2 times to the rotors 1. If that helps. thanks

How do you tell what gears you have if there is no tag and the owner will not let me take the cover off. I think it is a 1988 can't read the door tag or vin. Also i have a hp dana 30 would it be best to keep this or change over to other axel if it has 4 10. 1988 is a 2.5 5 speed 4x4. thanks

I guess my question is what is the differance in the engine blocks from year to year for the rebuild kits to be that much different in price.

I am not sure either. I thought $100. differance in price was alittle high.

I just wanted to have a project for winter. My motor has 283000 on 2.5 still runs great . Just don't want to take a chance. I can drive my xj if i have to. I thought all the blocks were the same until i saw all the rebuild kits and prices.

What is the different in years on 2.5 from 1988 to 2000. I am looking at a winter project on rebuilding my spare 2.5. When i looked at rebuild kits they are for all different years. I am going to change power steering alternator etc. from old to rebuild. There was a $100. differance in kits for the years . thanks
