  1. You have to add the Renix upper and lower trim strips (Thanks Greg ). One good thing about the Renix is that it had several OEM grilles throughout the years to choose from. The HO's had only one style, the eight slot in black, chrome, or body color.
  2. I'm torn between the 10 and 21, but lean toward the 21 because of it's rarity.
  3. Ya, the 3.8 was a dog. Much better was the 3.6 Pentastar that came out in 2012. Still kind of a dog, but like a Basset compared to a Beagle.
  4. Grille experiment so far: What do ya like? What do ya hate?
  5. Pull the vent tube off where it plugs into the frame on the left side and blow through it to see if it's clogged. Also see it it still has the little white plastic check valve inline with the vent tube.
  6. You can get them remanufactured LN for ~75/ea. + shipping. I got a set HERE. They were perfect - even had the inside surface between the spokes painted to my body color. Look for p/n 52000025. They have the caps too.
  7. 15x7 Turbine 10-spokes w. machined face and caps.
  8. What are the standards with your new diesel MJ with no OEM emissions parts?
  9. You must have read that somewhere, like here? That's the correct procedure for the Jeep 4.0 and 2.5 OBD1's to reset the ECU/PCM back to the original unmodified factory settings and remove all residual memory. For a stock engine it should be done whenever you change a sensor to clear a fault code. You done good! https://comancheclub.com/topic/53413-check-engine-light-blink-codes/?tab=comments#comment-544969
  10. How did you reset it?
  11. Nope - wrong manufacturer. It's one of the GM 10-bolts, 8.6 I think. I get them mixed up with the Ford 9' axles..
  12. GM Corporate axle. Fine unit. The brake line looks a bit sketchy though..
  13. Another one came through last night around midnight. Not nearly as bad as the last, but this time power went out, Seems a few poles went down according to the local Mom and Pop power company. Just came back on about an hour ago. This sucks...
  14. Like a pack of wolves...
  15. It supposed to look approximately like this with the valve arm roughly positioned parallel with the axle tube.
  16. Correct, the 15210 pod fits the MJs just fine. And no, I can't think of any other place to mount gauges better than the A-pillar. It's the best location for easy viewing, and doesn't look as out of place as anywhere else would be, especially if you paint the pod to match the A-pillar color.
  17. No, just fooling around with different grille options Mike. The valve cover was powder coated years ago.
  18. Like Pete said.
  19. Thanks guys - found a place in GA.
  20. The self-adjusters seldom worked correctly on the XJs/MJs; mine never did on all of them I had. Get the shoes adjusted right manually, then adjust the brake cable (if necessary) so there is no excess slack in the cable.
  21. Good idea Pete. Didn't know they could do that.
  22. The fool in the video is using a screw driver; a brake spoon is better.
  23. I'll pass on those guys. Good reasonable chrome shops are really hard to find now since the EPA has regulated most of them out of the business. There's got to be a few Mom and Pop shops still surviving somewhere in the US besides the gigantic bumper chromers who don't want to be bothered with small jobs....
