  1. An option: http://comancheclub.com/topic/33239-transmission-x-member-woes/?hl=crossmember&do=findComment&comment=335001
  2. Bright stainless is close enough.
  3. The Wix 51515 and equivalents (6.93" HIGH, 3.660" DIA) are the same filters I use. The Wix is good, also the Purolator L40017.
  4. :dunno: I don't know which is correct, but I'll keep mine horizontal. Plenty of room for the larger capacity filters, easier getting a strap wrench on it, makes less mess when changing, and can remain in place when changing the motor mounts. Maybe other reasons too - just can't think of them right now.
  5. ^^ Edit your signature in the settings menu to detail what year and model MJ you are referring to.
  6. You can see in one of the pics the oil filter is well below the charcoal cannister. Looks like you have the right cannister too.
  7. Damn - you forced me into going down and taking a pic. Be right back..................
  8. Not any more.
  9. The charcoal cannister isn't in the way on mine. :hmm: Sure you have a 91?
  10. Naw, I don't think so. If it were going to leak it would be leaking now.
  11. Yes, horizontal. The bottom of the filter points toward the rear. You can see the correct orientation in this pic:
  12. I put them all in. Good work.
  13. ^^ Ditto. I put a cloth over the starter motor though in case I drop the filter and it welds itself to the starter motor.
  14. Short. Can't you just get your existing shaft shortened an inch (D44 vs. D35 snout difference)? Or are you planning on getting a new shaft made?
  15. Worthwhile upgrade. http://comancheclub.com/topic/44420-mj-renix-to-ho-oil-filter-adapter-o-ring-data/ http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/5421/
  16. Better to assemble the oil filter adapter with the engine back in the truck - with new o-rings of course. Or install the HO adapter fittings for the filter. It's not that difficult and you don't break anything.
  17. Threads merged. No need for two posts on the same subject in the future OP.
  18. I think you would have had nothing to worry about since it's a street only rig, si? If you had 3"-4" inches until fully extended you'd be fine on the street.
  19. Then he must be referring to the short link cable from the throttle body to the bellcrank assembly. http://comancheclub.com/topic/41498-throttle-linkage/
  20. DVR set - thanks.
  21. :clapping: :clapping: You need a camo MJ now Mike.
  22. Ron Wood is my Rotax motorcycle guy. Always get the two mixed up.......... Thanks Bo.
  23. Good to see someone do some thorough research and asking informed questions instead of bombarding the forum with 2419 clueless questions as is usually the norm. I've answered what I can below in RED.
