  1. I Think that prohibition is a great example of what would happen with the marijuana situation. When the government banned alcohol bootleggers were everywhere. After it was relegalized the bootleggers slowly went back to working legit jobs. I couldn't tell you when the last time I heard of someone getting busted for making and selling illegal moonshine. If we make it a morality issue I'll use my dad as an example he says marijuana is horrible just like alcohol and crude humor. Should we start handing out jail time to everyone on comedy central?
  2. I have used this method a couple times. Usually gets the point across quick.
  3. So I got my new swaybar on. But it is three inches wider then the mj swaybar. The factory skid plate won't fit. So I am widening and reinforcing my skid plate in welding class. First I bent the skid plate straight. Then I cut the skid plate in half and tacked a piece of 1/4" plate. Then I cut the skid plate in half and welded a piece of 1/4" plate. (mind you that this is my first quarter of welding at clark) Then i welded another piece on the other side. Will have more done on monday.
  4. I know that the zj disks will bolt onto a cherokee d35 / 44. will they bolt on to a waggy 44?
  5. I got my v8 zj swaybar, tierod and draglink. I will have the swaybar in tonight. All the joints were in good shape.
  6. I know that my lumber rack came off a 90's nissan anyone know if a shell from a nissan will fit?
  7. The bottle from an intrepid has metal lid and is a pretty easy install
  8. The painted fuel rail leaked from everywhere, i spent an hour or so replacing o-rings, The auto parts store doesn't sell the upper o-rings. Good thing that I have a stash of injectors to rob o-rings from. Next weekend comes v-8 zj steering / sway bar. maybe a canopy.
  9. What trucks can I use a conopy from on my short bed MJ.
  10. The header is in. Aside from fighting leaky injectors everything went pretty smooth. Here is the relocated o2 sensor here is my old manifold, pretty bad eh? Here is my redneck exaust work, I had to reduce it from 2" to 2 1/4". It took 2 sleeves and 3 clamps. Then to be safe, I sealed around all the fittings with muffler mender All put together My painted skid plate Image Not Found
  11. First remove your wheels and drums. There is a tensioner bolt on the bottom of the shoe assembly. Turning this tensioner, which is a bolt with gears on it, counter-clockwise presses the shoes outward. I used vise grips to do this. Sprayed brake clean on everything. I expanded them until I could barely get the drums on. Then put them back together. On both Eric's 44, and my 35 the tensioner is on the bottom. Instantly we both noticed the difference upon stat up. The break pedals no longer sink when the vehicle starts. Also the e-brake works again. Now I need to say that this is a temporary fix to a bigger problem. This means that your auto tensioner is gummed up.
  12. The shimmy is gone, it was the top track bar joint. Fixed it for now. Hope to find ZJ steering next weekend. Started work on my header this evening. Everything is going way faster and smoother then expected. I now have the intake manifold and header installed. The power steering pump is back on as well, I replaced the belt while I had it off. I am going to look for a plug for the egr on the bottom of the manifold. I also have to finish fabbing up the exaust. Have work in the morning, will have pics up soon.
  13. The ports do line up! I went to the local auto parts store and sized it up with a renix manifold gasket. it was an exact match. The only only hurdles that I have to over come now is that the o2 sensor goes on the down pipe, wich is cool because i grabbed the HO down pipe, and I have to figure out how to re-work the EGR system because there is no hose going to the manifold now. any ideas?
  14. I really think that an ho header will bolt right up to my renix I think that the only difference is the angle of the down pipe. I have a ho header, and a cracked renix manifold. I also have the ho down pipe. How can i test this with out taking my jeep all apart? If I took it into my local auto parts store and test fit a gasket from a renix and all the holes lined up, would that mean that it will work? I know that it will bolt on.

  16. I have pics on my phone, will put them up asap. Everything works except the coolant guage, also get this.... when I push in my clutch the brake dummy light comes on.?.?.?.?

I now have it all back together!!! :driving: The foam pad that i used for sound deadening was a great success!!!! :banana: Now the only thing that I can hear in the cab while cuising is my exaust leak. I am going to have that fixed in a little over a week. Now I need to figure out where my shimmy is coming from.

  20. I changed my front driver side axle shaft on my mj. last night, I replaced the whole inner, outer, hub assembly. I went to drive this morning and the front ds wheel wouldn't turn. I took off the wheel and brakes and the rotor was digging into the knuckle.... what the hell? I pulled the assembly off an xj. it's the same right?
  21. throttle body did it, the old one was gummed up, I have more power than i have had in a year or so. I am gonna take the intake manifold off my xj and sent it with my buddy to work to have him run it through his works parts washer, along with my old throttle body.
  22. Also my temp guage that wasn't working before the wiring swap still isn't working...
  23. :dunce: So I left my hood open for a day or so in the rain. durring this time i replaced my dash wiring harness. now today I drove it to school (15 minits or so) it died at a stop sign, it died as i got off the freeway. It is running rough. Also i noticed a little black smoke, so i put my hand over the exaust and there were some little black spots. I have noticed a lack of power lately, I thought that It may be because of my cracked exaust manifold. I have an xj that is identical year (1990) motor (4.0) and tranny (ax-15). I am thinking about pulling the throttle body off and replacing that. What else should i consider?
