  1. Just got done fabbing this up today, should provide a nice HP boost. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
  2. Tail lights are dirt cheap, you can get em for about $30 new. Someone basically just did some custom bodywork to fit it.
  3. Too funny! Thats where I saw him as well, but several years back(like maybe 3-4 now? EDIT: Thats the expensive western over in commerce city, I saw him at the cheap western off of federal. Dunno who the guy is, but I think his MJ was pretty fresh the first time I saw it.
  4. I see I wasn't the only one who was disappointed by the post too.
  5. I've had canadian friends point this out......canadian mikes is vodka based, and even says so on its label. And yes, canadian mikes used to be 6.5%, I dunno what it is now. You can tell the differences between the two. Canadian mikes is definitely vodka based.
  6. my old roomate had it on his server, I don't think he ended up keeping it for whatever reason.
  7. so does the situation, or the car sound familiar? Got it... It's the situation... ;) You posted nearly the same thing back in April... Look Here :laughin:  HA! I knew I wasn't reaching early senility! I knew it seemed too familiar, for awhile there I was wondering if he posted this same post on another Jeep site a while back and thats where I was remembering it from.
  8. so does the situation, or the car sound familiar? Both, someone else a few weeks back made a post very similar to this. Anyone know who that was? So I guess someone else has the same idea, funny. at least he is done with his and is looking great!!! here is his thread. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9895&highlight=stang no not that one, it was another "me and my wife" with an old rustang, seriously I thought it was the same post at first.

  12. Not fot the 91+. I just looked at a 91 today short bed w. a beat up body that had the D44 and MT springs and was 2WD. Don't know about the rest of the MT options. Anything was available special order in 91-92 when the MJ was dying, perhaps as dealer installed options. How many extra packs are in the MT springs?

Yup. I love being able to say 1 ton MJ - on stock drivetrain. me too Sirsam --- fun ain't it --- love to show em the leaf pack when they don't believe it ( or the carfax rpt) :brows: I like the idea of having something up on guys with full size pickups that are only "half-tons"
  14. Oh man.....that one guy chopped up a 5.9!!!!!!!!! I wonder if he still has the factory wheels and wants someone to haul em off for him.....
  15. Fully Selectable Lockers or Nothing for me...If I'm spending the $$$ I'm only going to do it once... Which is all well and good until you decided to upgrade your axles... Anyways, I'd take a full case locker over a lunchbox any day. But I'm comfortable doing a gear setup. Full case lockers are a lot stronger, and some of them work quite a bit better than the lunchboxes. Lockers definatly help when wheeling in the winter. You will kill a clutch-pack limited-slip if you get in situations where it is icy and wheel speed is required. So, a truetrac would be fine, but I'd not run any other L/S. Spools work good in the snow/ice too. See personally I just want the LSD for the around town and highway driving, I don't desire a locker for that, and I don't need a locker for offroad use. My ideal setup would be a truetrac in the rear, and a selectable locker in the front.
  16. only videogame I play.....its fun I prefer non slayer games......something where there is a little tactic involved.
  17. LSD or nothing for me.

  19. Seen a couple like that already.
  20. I had H4 housing in my silver freedom with some 85W/105W bulbs from JC whitney. They put out alot of bright light and were tons better than stock, but the dispersion pattern was a little wierd. I now have silverstar sealed beams, not as much light output but in much better places, overall I would say they are better than the H4s I had. And a headlight harness should make a huge difference too.

    Score!

Went to the junkyard today looking for some things that I was dissapointed they didn't have(they bought several newer Jeeps at auction monday, but they sent them to the more expensive yard, and not the cheap pick'n'pull). But I did find one gem there, a 92 XJ with 220k on it, but a new 2 core radiator! It looks like maybe it has been installed a year or two, so who knows how much mileage. My stock radiator in my Yellow Freedom had been running with a bunch of stop leak in it before I bought it, plus being a single core you could see the temps rise in moderate heat and load. So for $26 I got me an upgrade for the Yellow Jeep(being kept). Now the radiator thats in there will go in the 160k mile white Jeep I'm selling, which also has a radiator that has been gummed up with stop leak, but in a bad way, just driving down the interstate at 75 the temp light will come on, and since it has dummy gauges if the temp light comes on when I am trying to sell it thats a very bad thing. Woot! And here I was thinking I would be able to install the 4wd front end in the MJ this weekend..... oh well:
  22. At some point in the near future I will have my AX-5 for sale...... but its 2wd, not sure if you can unbolt the 2wd tail housing and bolt on the transfer case.... anyone?
  23. I agree. Lock the shift fork over and forget it. 3rd. Clarke, would you happen to have a picture of the tailhousing of the XJ NV3550? I am doing the same as you with a TJ NV3550 and 98 XJ 242, i understand the XJ NV3550 is clocked differently, and would like to be able to see the difference.
  24. don't use it for a car man..... You can get a decent gun kit at Costco for $100, comes with several guns and nozzles, if I didn't already have a nice kit I would get one. Of course, you need an air compressor to go with it, but if you don't have one I'm betting you can borrow one.
  25. i don't like.......thats WAY too long and too low........ and that "sunshade" thing.....eeesh
