I have been playing around with the photobucket app, and hope soon i will be able to take pics with my phone and then post them here in only a few short steps.
O had you have to get the flashlight app!! use it everyday.
Thanks guys, I think i am just going to drill out the studs and replace them with hardware, maybe jb-weld them so i can replace the inner liner but we will see, haha.
So I decided to take the fender flares off to paint them and ended up braking a few of the bolts off as i have read is usually the case. Is there a good solution out there? Can you get them from NAPA? Thanks.
So i dug up the coils i took out of my MJ and the numbers on one of them are as fallows
EP
895
200
1787
If i deduce this right I have these ones based on your list 5200 1787 AR MJ Light Duty, Coded EP, and they were manufactured in 89.
Am i reading this right? thanks guys.
Little bit off topic but applicable. If I want to get new shocks after a lift what is the best way to measure them. I am thinking that the overall length is stud to stud. Then for the compressed measure from bump stop to where is contacts, subtract that from overall and there you have it. Does that sound correct?
Was typing my last reply while you posted yours. Do you have the NAPA part number by chance? or can i just walk in and say I want to 795 bulb and I am good to go?
Does anyone know if there is an upgrade i can do to the backup lights to make them brighter. Sort of adding lights. Maybe an upgraded bulb or a better harness.
Thanks.
Is the oil pump the factor replacement? If you don't have a lift on your truck and plan on not removing the front axle you will have to remove the pump to get the pan out. I reused the old pump (did not have the cash for a new one or i would have replaced) did not have to do anything in the way of priming. I know this is not a direct answer but you could just call the manufacture and check with them to make sure.
As I have found out personally don't use RTV on the oil pan gasket. I have read that some guys use it on the four corners of the pan where the gasket does not reach (if that makes sense).
haha little off topic. I lucked out, my GF can't drive stick so she never gets to use the truck, haha. Only downside is I have to make sure i don't have to many carbonated adult beverages, lol.
