4.0l Did the oil pan and noticed it. Then with it off found it had a hole in it. The local "you call we pick for you" are retarded, they asked what car I was calling about and said 4.0l jeep Comanche and they say they did not have one so I said well any 4.0l jeep would work and he replied with "I just said I don't have one for a jeep Comanche." You can't tell me that there is not a timing chain cover on a 4.0l jeep in every junkyard around the world? So hope by the end of the week I will have a new one :(

i just bought it with 156,xxx. and i have put 3000 on it. still trying to track down the problems and catch the maintance up

wouldn't zip tied in full load make them brake realy hard (lock up)?

How do you like the ride of the ZJ coils? and are they the stock V8 or the "up country ones"?

so as the bed sags (do to weight in bed) more pressure gets routed to rear breaks? thats cool. But it can be removed without much danger?

Also, my gauges now are not working quite right. They all read low, 5 mph, temp half of what it would be, and volts around 10-12. I know that there is a ground upgrade you can do that i have not yet. But is there something i can do or check when i am in there doing the swap

side note, what is the little lever that is located on the drivers side of the pumpkin? in the pic above it is disconected. what is its job?

I am new to the Comanche world. I go to school at the Californa Maritime Academy (vallejo), live in Napa CA, and work in Calistoga. (so all over the Bay area). I tracked down some HD zj coils that are said to lift a zj one inch, so i am guessing 2 maybe 3 inch in an MJ. What should i pay and whould they be a good oppion? jimoshel- how much to CA?

i have been chasing a leak myself. However, mine is leaking from the front and runs all the way back (along the pan). I found the best time to find the leak was after the engine got up to normal temp and ran for about 5 miles, then get out of the truck with engine running. take a rag and wipe off the drops of oil and watch for redeveloping drops (flashlight needed). I have read here that some guys always change the RMS whenever the pan is off. This is not what i did but is good insurance i guess.

I am looking to lift me mj just a little bit. want to do this by installing ZJ v8 upcountry front coils. I have been on the hunt for these and can't seem to find any, does anyone know where i should look?

I have been reading around and i am lost. What are the considerations i need to take when swapping in a new cluster that contains a tack into my 88. what make and model can i pull one out of? thanks for the help
