On my 4.0l 1989, I got oil in cooling fluid.
I have gone to NAPA store, they advised me to buy a can of IRONITE to seal the cooling system.
Having nothing to loose, I just did, seem to work great. :clapping:
Welcome !!!
I think you will have a compability problem.
Your truck is a RENIX (1986-1990).
The later version use Chrysler computer and have differents sensors.
Some guys here have made this conversion.
Make a search for 4.0 HO conversion.
Got there done that :smart:
I think that you have to bleed your hydaulic circuit.
The new slave cylinder have a plastic retainer to hold it in place. It is okay to install it with the retainer. To brake the retainer, you have to bleed and bleed again until you get a good working pedal. :wavey:
Our trucks are notorious for windshield leaking.
You could tried the baby powder trick to located the source.
You have to remove your carpet, and spread the powder on the floor.
The water will remove the powder.
To remove the headliner, you have to remove the pillar and door molding.
The headliner have 1 steel bracket each side and 2 velcro near the windshield.
Be careful, it is easy to break.
Good luck
I have similar problem, the motor cut and stop.
If you don't have spark could be the coil, that was my case.
I just swap it from my part truck, and the motor came back to life. :D
