  3. thanks for the replies fellas. i'm going to keep her. i just could never give a vehicle up that when sitting at a light along with any other group of brand new trucks, without fail, they are all looking at mine. same goes with my bmw.
  4. may have posted this in wrong forum. please move as necessary.
  5. so, now that it's cold and windy, i'm going to replace my broken manual crank pass side window and replace all the weather stripping. my question is, can i install the glass and then the weather stripping after it arrives or will the seals need to go in first? i bought the full set and am concerned about getting the vertical felt like guide channel that runs up and down behind and opposite of the vent window installed with glass in..
  6. i also have the kobalt 24XTR. The thing is a beast.
  7. atf and acetone makes PBB look like Childs play. a good over night soak if still no go, a couple good hits with a bfh then another over night soak. it'll come apart.
  8. the pressure regulator kit alone was, if i remember right the same or more in cost than the entire tb kit, go figure.
  9. marketplace in Md. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/697245894258655/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=undefined

  11. Funny how things happen. i just opened up the forum to ask if xj window will fit an mj. my passenger side is also broke difference being, i'm the idiot that did it. lol if anyone has one in the south jersey area give me a shout. i was gonna buy one from an auto glass joint.
  12. Happy Holidays fellas, the little clip thingy that holds the accelerator cable cup to the ball on the tb broke on my 87 2.5 aw4 4x4. i'm putting a new one on as soon as it arrives. is there any tricks/shortcuts to fishing it through the fire wall?
  13. what makes them different from the 87?
  14. lifts are just loads of fun. just finished up helping my son with a 4.5 rough country lift on his 96 xj. 12 busted knuckles (2 for me, 3 for my son and 7 for his friends), 6 cases of beer, 20 lbs of burgers and dogs, 2 packs of dremel cut off wheels, 500 bucks worth of air compressor and air tools, and 6 weeks later she's done. every single thing was an obstacle. wait till you tackle the pitman are. tried a 3 jaw puller, no go, bought a pitman arm puller and tightened it down and PB blasted it daily and tightened it some more, finally broke the puller. borrowed a industrial (heavy duty truck shop) puller and repeated the same process again along with cutting through till i almost reached the splines and a bigger fh, and it let loose like a bomb went off. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE THE NUT ON THAT SOAB to keep it from flying off. Had to hook a tow strap to the truck and pull the axle ever so slightly one way or the other to get the adjustable control arms in.just keep at it, use the forums for advice be careful and the hardest thing of all, be patient and try not to get frustrated, you'll only wind up in the field next door looking for the tools you threw over there.
  15. mine was doing that as well but it would also quickly extend and retract the plunger but only the smallest distance and in time with the clicking. took me a day but i found bare and shorting out wire on my MAT sensor. taped it up and problem resolved.

  17. A few more pics
  18. that's what i was thinking. surf fishing. gonna check it out this weekend
  19. Daughter bought a car, story short, the guy has a wrangler for sale. Research tells me it's a 95 cause it's the only year for the Rio grande pig. Looks clean by the pics but I don't know the miles and haven't seen underneath of it yet. 2000 is the price. It's a 4 banger manual. Pics attached. What's she worth fellas?
  20. when i bought the vc it didn't have the fitting. it was 6 or 7 years ago and i remember reading a write up on the vc swap and it had the fitting size and pn and i bought it from summit so i'm thinking it is metered but will have to check to be sure. what i do know is that when cleaning the tb the orifice that that vacuum line connects to on the tb was totally blocked to the point that it took a full can of tb cleaner and an hour of me going at it with a paper clip.
  21. So, the metered link in the ingenious system would run from the small brass fitting on the front side of the vc, to the larger of the 2 vacuum connections below the tb and 5he larger hose with the elbow goes to the airbox. NOW if I can determine if the brass fitting is metered I'll be ok. Suppose to be 2.2mm correct?
  22. Corectamundo 2.5. Here's my vc with 2 valve openings highlighted.
  23. So, I'm redoing all the vacuum/PVC lines just because they were helter skelter. A few years back I put a VC on her from I believe a 95 wrangler. Where the original vc had the hose to the air box on the front and to the tb in the rear, the new vc has the port on the front side and the fill cap in the middle and the PVC hose opening in the rear. Just to make sure I'm correct, The brass fitting for the side port I remember buying from sumit but can't remember whether its metered or not. This one should be correct? The hose on the rear runs to the air box but without the metered gromit , is this correct?
