  1. Read it again. They are both Borla headers. One is an HO the other is for a renix Correct, they are both Borla headers. Willy

    First Aid Kits

Wow, looks like the prices are pretty good too. I wish I would have known about this before I bought the one for the MJ at Walgreens. Thanks. Willy
  3. Yes, I realize that. I was attempting to state that the more I learn, the more I seem to forget. Willy

    New life Monday

:huh???: Most of the metro area is laid out in a grid with lots of through streets. Besides KCK, numbered streets run east/west and most named streets are north/south. There is a continuous freeway loop and several intersecting freeways. The roads on the KS side are about the best found anywhere...unfortunately the MO side is the complete opposite. It is one of the easiest metro areas to navigate I have ever been to. Good luck. That CNC stuff looks very cool. Looks like your not far from Worlds of Fun. Willy
  5. Interesting... :hmm: Now you have me thinking. I was pretty sure the rotor was separate when I was working on the brakes. But, I could be remembering wrong. All the D30s are starting to blur together.... :ack: I'll have to take a closer look when I get a chance. Willy
  6. Not true. My '91 has a separate rotor and hub. I know the earlier ones were one piece, but I don't know when they changed them. Willy
  7. It is impossible to compare the two in that way. They are completely different. The HO makes more power. Much more than you would be able to notice with just air filter changes. Willy
  8. Installed the Borla header. I was surprised that the only difference between their Renix and HO header was the EGR bung. Everything else appears to be the same. :hmm: Willy
  9. Installed the axle. I was hoping to remove the sway bar drop brackets, but without them there is some pretty major contact with the springs. The drop brackets will stay for now, but I eventually plan to remove them and build a bracket that moves the sway bar forward without dropping it lower. My reamer is definitely dead so the drop pitman arm is still there. The drag link and track bar angles are still fairly close. Willy
  10. Cool, I was wondering how you were planning to latch it. Willy
  11. :agree: Punctuation and paragraphs make posts much easier to read. Attempting to decipher run on sentences and huge paragraphs gives me a headache so I usually don't even bother. Willy
  12. Any plans for a handle? Willy

  14. I'm young and I don't get laid. Nothing like a VW van to change that! :rotf: A rolling shag wagon. :rotfl2: Willy
  15. Is Darren too lazy to teach you? What a loser. :fool: Willy Too lazy? You better watch it Willy, I'm in your neighborhood this week. I've tried to teach her but she doesn't care for that whole shifting thing. Crap! You are stalking me. I've been there. Deb's MJ originally had the Peugeot. I was contemplating swapping in an AX-15 with the 4WD conversion. But, a couple of parking lot lessons quickly ended those ideas. She didn't seem to enjoy it too much and I found a cheap AW4. :dunno: Willy

  17. I think you are missing some shackles. Willy huh?? i didnt think a 2wd had shackles?? idk youve got me wondering now plz help Leaf springs need shackles, it doesn't matter if the vehicle is 2WD or 4WD. As their length grows and shrinks with the cycling of the suspension they need something to pivot on, the shackles. Without shackles the ride will be horrible and you will eventually destroy something. Willy
  18. Yes, otherwise it is almost impossible to line up the thermostat, housing, and get the bottom bolt to thread in straight. Willy
  19. A pillar gauges. Willy
  20. Been there. It's pretty easy to break if the thermostat isn't fully seated in that recess. It falls out pretty easy if you attempt to put the thermostat housing back on without removing the belt. Willy
  21. Put the track bar bracket in place. The track bar and drag link are pretty close to parallel. I've actually got a drop pitman arm on it at the moment. The angles should be even closer once I put a regular pitman arm on it. Boxed in the control arm bracket and added a few gussets for support. I was also able to find a place for the sway bar brackets between the drag link and tie rod. Willy

  24. No, nobody wants more power on the trail. I've never heard of anybody swapping in a V8 into a trail rig. :thwak: Yes. Willy
