Nothing has been resolved yet. This thread was started so that someone near Pat's location can go and pick up the harness for me. That's really all that has happened. :dunno:

Bump...still looking for some help....the MJ is almost done...just need the harness!!!

Better Roll/Brush on Coating???
LoTGoD replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have heard good reviews about this product as well : U-Pol Raptor Truck Bed Liner Kit Saw a long thread on JF about it, got good reviews. You can also color match it to your MJ's paint scheme if you wish. http://www.tptools.com/Product.aspx?display_id=2600 -
Yes...I've had several offers, but until I have exhausted all other attempts I'd like to remain optimistic.

Without knowing much about how that hot lead is wired, I'd say start there and remove the newly added connectors and see if the problem goes away. If it does, you need to see where those "found" wires go. Was the CB on when all of this was happening with the lights? Sounds like what you might have thought was a ground wire in that bunch of 4 wires was not a ground. Remove it and let us know if the problem goes away.

Rather than start another thread about Pat, I am just asking for some help. Any members that know Pat (JeepcoMJ) personally, could someone please go get my wiring harness from him? If you let me know in this thread, or via PM, that you have my wiring harness, I will PayPal you, or send you a money order, to cover the shipping and some extra for your time involved in getting it for me. This thread isn't about bashing Pat, so if you wish to comment on that, please keep it to PM's. I am just trying to get my harness to finish my truck, and I'd like to keep this thread open until it has been resolved. Thanks, Aaron

I uploaded it to an online free drive that I have. Will this work for you? http://cid-c40904cfda278a46.skydrive.li ... .aspx/Jeep

Unbolted and pulled the old OEM brake booster and master cylinder. Cut a bit off the top pinch seam to get the WJ booster/MC lined up. Ground the end of the rod down to fit brake light switch. Need to knock the other spot on the firewall over where the booster is still hitting. Luckily, the WJ booster still has the combo soft/hard lines on it, so I'll just cut the excess off and reflare the ends to fit in the OEM proportioning block.

So my lame attempt at a diagram wasn't too far off???

Think about it for a minute. The distance between the front and rear tires is further on the LWB as opposed to the SWB or the XJ, thus making the radius to complete a complete circle that much greater. The SWB will also have a greater turning radius than the XJ because the wheelbase is longer. Even if you could theoretically keep the rear wheel in the exact same place during a turn, the diameter of the circle you are turning would be wider in order of vehicle.

Great..where can I redeem them?

I'd say an old distributor gear.

you need to get yourself a haircut son!!!!! -
I'm going to be looking for something as well. You might want to check out your local auto parts store. They have a brand called HELP! that might have a random plug that will fit. I just haven't had time to check on it yet. I am going to need some plugs for the back of the cab area as well, since the metal ones that were in there seemed to have disappeared.

Sent you a PM

Not yet. I'm at work and the truck is hovering in the driveway :D I'll check it out this weekend.

None related to shifting...its a manual (AX15) So I should assume the AX15 was swapped in to the truck by the PO, and this part is no longer needed?

I had to pull the dash to get the truck prepped for the wiring harness install that I am hopefully going to be doing soon. After I got the dash out, I found this cable just kind of pushed up behind the steering column. I asked a few guys here at the office what they thought it might be. As far as any of them can tell, it is an old column shift cable. Is this correct? It wasn't connected, so I figure I'm just going to pull it all out.

You could have possibly pulled the speedo out just from moving it around. The clips on the speedo cables were probably quite strong 20 years ago...but now it could have broken off from the movement. Your best bet is to pull the cluster and get it out as far as you can and see if the speedo is connected. Chances are, it came out, or is not clipped in all the way.
