Thanks guys I plan waiting till school is finished before I worry about an MJ, hopefully they won't all rust out and/or Jeepco won't buy them all, and Ill be able to get one then. I definitely plan on keeping the XJ. Eagle that story is amazing. And thanks for the compliments on the XJ guys!

This is gonna be a tough one. My dad wants me to get rid of my 88 XJ for something newer and more "reliable"...Problem is, I want an MJ in addition to my XJ. I would have no problem buying one, and insuring one, but I'm not gonna rely on it as my daily driver. I figure its just something neat to have and wrench on. I am 20 and in college and can't afford a NEW car at the time being. Any ideas on what to say to him, if I ever find a decent condition MJ?? Thanks. Oh and here's the XJ he wants me to get rid of. SoloCamo, I had the VST's on my XJ, happened to buy them new at Autozone with lifetime warranty for 19.99. After my XJ sat in a garage for 5 years, they went bad and started to leak. I took them back Wednesday and they gave me Gabriel Ultra Gforce's (31.99 a piece) for free under warranty. Id say they ride very nice. I recommend them. Dunno if they make them for the MJ rears though.

This is what I use. You can either use it on the clutch or brake pedals. http://www.automotivesportsparts.com/de ... /4711.html

May have to try it. Thanks for the headsup. Keep it that way. :D Unless youre desperate for a part that youll pay twice as much for, and chances are they would have it...

Pete, The only one I know of you mentioning is TAS (sign in sheet) Which are the other ones you mention? don't go to E&M in Canton. Those guys are a bunch of buttholes. (But always seem to have atleast 5-10 MJ's most unmolested, ones with black interiors, cargo lights, etc.)

If they are like mine here, they can get away with it because you sign a waiver when you go in which makes them not liable for your stupidity. :D Yep. At least the one I go to, (also the one Pete visits) we must sign the waiver to get in.

How did the plate vanish off the car? Any pics of said Z28?? :brows:

No need to take a picture, I understand exactly what you mean. That is a GREAT mod for me to consider! Excellent idea!

X2!! Never thought of that before! grimaldur, how do the fog lights mount under there??

This is what I would check, Jeepco, if the IAC doesnt clear the problem.

My Renix did that about a month ago. It was idling about 3-400 rpm for about a week or 2, then it idled about 1500rpm....changed the IAC, and its back to normal. Maybe my situation was unique, but thats what fixed mine.

Another full cluster swap thread
88XJSport replied to james750's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I believe the signal comes right from the coil (green/black wire) right to the cluster plug. The basic cluster doesnt use that prong, but when its plugged into a full cluster, its put to use. -
Very nice MJ. Lovin the black buckets as well! :brows: Oh and whats wrong with the carpet?? Looks severly faded!!

The connector in that pic is from a gauge cluster swap write up I saw a while back. That truck was a 96. http://www.opiebennett.com/Gauge.htm -

Temp gauge or idiot light, you still have a sender in the spot pictured. -
Can you Id these under dash plugs?
88XJSport replied to robfg67's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that I added under dash lights, harness, bracket and all, and I still have a plug just like the one shown in the second pic of this thread...
