  1. If the cluster is coming from a 4.0 and going into a 4.0, then there isnt any adjustments needed.
  2. I wanna say 1 3/16. I just used an adjustable wrench tho...
  3. Thanks Pete. I see bolts there, looks like there in the middle of the rocker...if any of those are loose, could that cause my clicking too?
  4. Not yet. What should I be looking for when I do? I thought lifters were out of sight and need to remove the whole head...
  5. Ive been asking and reading on other forums about lifter tap but nobody gives me a clearcut answer. I have had an intermittent lifter tap from what sounds like cyl 1 or 2, for about a year now. As of late, when the tapping is happening, I get a chugging sound from my exhaust. It sounds like I'm missing a cylinder, but its not as apparent as a missing cylinder...but there is a definate chug from the exhaust, even more so when i give it throttle. My Q is, since nobody with lifter tap has mentioned the chugging exhaust, do I even have lifter tap? Or is this like a stuck valve problem? BTW I have been using detergents in my oil for the past year trying to rid this sound... trans fluid, seafoam (in oil) Marvel Mystery Oil. I currently have 4 quarts of Castrol 10-30, 1 qt of type F DEX, 1 qt of MMO, and two whole cans of seafoam. I also have a brand new exhaust manifold Any insight would be great.
  6. Hey themz are my full gauges in post 1 !!!!!
  7. Cool! Make the pics big!
  8. Nice! Does anybody else have any other year Comanche brochure they can post up? The 86 would be cool to see.

    Real NIce MJ

Looks like thats an Eliminator. VERY NICE!
  10. That truck looks so good man! What were the steps to refinishing those wheels like that? Mine look like crap, and yours look new! Also, if you could somehow make the pics bigger, that'd be great. The truck looks so nice, but the pics are too small. :D
  11. I think its on gojeep. Its the pics of the female side (clock side) but they look the same as in the dash. I wish the LED clock (86-87) was plug and play for my 88. I CAN get it to work, I just don't want it bad enough to have to cut and splice. :laughin: here's mine. Image Not Found[/img]
  12. And assuming that the clock is the same year as the Jeep. Yep. The clock plug went from 86-87 was big and blue, 88-90 was black, and 91 was white I believe. Johnny you have a PM.
  13. Mine was plug and play. If you don't have the connector on the end of the clock, use gojeeps website, (already posted in this thread) and use the wiring diagrams to connect the correct wires with the already existing wires in the dash.
  14. The only thing useful skid plate wise would be the engine skid. Not positive on the Tcase skid, and the gas tank skid will not work.
  15. Boy you hit the jackpot with that!! That sentenial package I have no idea how it is wired up...i think someone on here tried it though...as for the skid plate, it should bolt up just fine. Any pics?
  16. The whole truck is rustproofed (Ziebart) and the rest of the rockers are solid and something stupid I did in that area (we won't get into that) caused a hole. The fiberglass is a good idea. Thanks.
  17. Well my XJ finally gave in to 20 years of Michigan Hell. I punched a tiny hole in my drivers side rocker, right in front of the rear flare. The actual rot is about the size of a quarter and by the looks of it, can easily be punched out. My rockers are solid as hell except for the one little spot. I really don't want to trash the whole rocker because of something that minor. I don't have welders, plasma torches, etc, I just want to clean the area, patch it somehow, and cover it with white paint. Thanks for any ideas.
  18. So...intermediate. Just as I suspected. :D
  19. Just curious...what came with the X package? I noticed full gauges with tachometer, clock, metallic paint, pinstripes, yet basic wheels no tow package, and a bench seat...was it like an intermediate trim, like the XJ Pioneer??
  20. The right sides are ripped off. All thats there is the Left side Comanche and X badge...
  21. So does this look familiar Pete?? :D
  22. **Pics coming soon** I was at Taylor Auto today, and there was a red metallic 86 Comanche X 2.5. I opened the door and there on the seat was Pete's CC card!! I am wondering if the owner got it before he junked it, or did somebody drop the card for someone to notice as they pull parts?? Who gave this guy a card?? I'm guessing it was Pete. Whoever it was, tell your story!!! Anyways it has the blue faced full gauge cluster, LED clock, and red/white cross hatched bench in good shape. The box was pretty much rusted beyond recognition, but it would have been nice truck if taken care of... No AMC 20, I already checked. ;) Pics coming soon of this...
  23. Thanks for the responses so far. I was just inquiring about a "preferred" renix MJ, because I happen like them better. Someone else may like HO, thats fine, but I prefer renix. No need to get into "wall-o-text" arguments.
  24. I don't know if you meant "exclusive" as in the only Comanche to have those rims, but my 88 XJ Sport has them. Image Not Found Image Not Found
  25. Cool story! I couldnt imagine owning a brand new Comanche Eliminator.
