There is a group of wires coming from along side the drivers side valve cover, down underneath the truck. One group goes to the o2 sensor, one goes to the knock sensor, and there is a third connector, with 2 wires, and I can't see where it goes. Anyone know what this is?

I'm looking for the gray 2 door wingback buckets (in the shape of my current seats of course) So far, no luck. Either they are the wrong color, or look like they were pulled from the bottom of a lake. Thanks for the comments. :clapping:

Mine is spotless. I have one CD in the CD player, my phone charger in the glovebox, and about 5 coins in the little tray. Vacuumed carpet once every other week, and nothing else anywhere. Looks like the sales brochure. Image Not Found Image Not Found

I was told the B+ latch relay adjusts the IAC to a set position, in anticipation for the next restart. This is why the relay "clicks" after 3 or so seconds after the engine shuts off. Again, I could have been told wrong, but thats what ive been told.

Wow the 97+ sounds nicer. I may have to keep my eye out at the JY now for one. Thanks for the push-pin tip also. -

Does it come with some sort of attaching screws? Do you have a pic of yours? -

I figured it would be cleaner and faster to add one instead of trying to sand/paint the surface rust thats starting to show... -
Has anybody ever bought one from these guys? Hows the quality? For 35 bucks it sounds like a good deal.

Lol @ spraying over the tailgate handle. :shake:

teamcherokee.com has them. There pricey though.

Yeah but this is the truck in question.... Thats one expensive bicycle. :clapping: Hey glundblad maybe you should post a pic of your truck everytime you post a question, so everyone understands why you're so picky.

Still havent figured it out. I'm going to guess its a vacuum issue, because when I have my defrost on, the problem goes away. When I switch the HVAC to anything BUT defrost, its back to choppy idle.

Floorboards - Finally removed my carpets
88XJSport replied to glundblad's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I would do the por-15 around where you see the rust. After you sand, use the por-15 in those areas. No need to do the whole floor, if you ask me. Especially when you said you don't drive it in the rain/snow. PS I'm still on the prowl for your seats...ive come up empty handed so far, but youll know soon enough when I get 'em. ;) -
Great job! Those blue-faced full clusters are my favorite!

aftermarket tach suggestions?
88XJSport replied to lostissues's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Since all your missing is a tach, and you want a clean install, why not swap the cluster out for one that looks like this? There is no extra wiring needed for the tach to work. Just plug and play. Image Not Found -
1/2 Tank, Right Turn = Engine Cut-Out
88XJSport replied to 88XJSport's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
If I stop at a stop sign, then make a right on a 1/2 tank, it won't do it (slow turn) but if I am doing 40, slow to 25 to make a right, it will cut off. I still think its fuel, because if it was a harness, wouldnt it cut out whatever fuel level? -
1/2 Tank, Right Turn = Engine Cut-Out
88XJSport replied to 88XJSport's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Not to my knowledge...everything seem solid. I could remove the pump and check that tray again to see if its loose. What puzzles me is, that it doesnt do it on left turns... -
1/2 Tank, Right Turn = Engine Cut-Out

Thanks for your help. -
This is for my XJ, so I apologize in advance. I know some people here have or had XJ's, so I want to see if anyone can help me. Recently when I am on a 1/2 tank or less, making a right turn over 10mph, the engine will cut out momentarily. I had the pump out, sock looks ok, external filter was just changed, hose inside the tank is new and tight, but 1/2 tank right turns cut the engine out, (one time it fully stalled) but if I have over a 1/2 tank it will not cut out. Left turns are smooth no matter how much gas is in the tank...

My 88 4.0 idles like crap. It will idle about 700 or so, then drop down to about 500 and be rough, then jump back to 700 sometimes. I need to keep the defroster on to keep everything steady...I'm thinking its a vacuum issue that I'm too lazy to look into...
