  1. Got my bumper in today from Dirtbound Offroad. I'm really stoked to put it on, its so low profile! Got to cut the fenders first though. Also snagged a m8000 local off of ebay last week
  2. I put together a hi-lift mount recently, got it mounted today.
  3. Anyone willing to cut and sell me just the section of carpet that covers from where the tunnel meets the floor and over to the other side of the trans tunnel? Would like it to reach under the seat as well.
  4. Piecing a lift together worked well for me. 33 bfg, SOA in rear, front clayton long arms with rustys 4.5 inch springs and JKS ACOS spacers to level it out with the rear. Uncut fenders and no rubbing.
  5. Jeep has been moved down to second driver status now. Got an CSVT for my new daily driver cause my commute doubled recently.
  6. As promised I got the Mini-skids and truss done yesterday and today. Went well, just took my time and then threw it all back together. It was a hot and humid day to day so def worked up a sweat.
  7. I swapped my pedal set up from standard to auto and it was a piece of cake. Just had to twist your body all up to get a view of it under the dash.
  8. Man a manual Zj is like 1 in a million score! Nice man.
  9. Finally getting the important little details on the comanche tied up. Got a fabtech spare tire mount for the bed, and getting a good deal on a hi-lift from a friend. Gonna take the axle out monday after I get off work I believe to work on that truss. Those vent bellows didnt pan out either. I don't think they are stretchy enough and the axle just puked some fluid out of the seal. So off they came.
  10. Wanted to see everyone is doing for breather hoses on the front axle? Wanted to come up with something clean with the extra hose needed to compensate for the extra axle droop.
  11. Got these little bellow things to replace the breather hoses on the diffs. Kinda neat and nice it eliminates the hoses.
  12. Love the Banks header. I want to get one for my 89 but I have read so much mix information about if it will even bolt to the motor correctly. Looks like it does no problem with a new intake manifold. Are you eliminating the egr?
  13. My truss made it yesterday. Still have to order some mini skids and maybe a upper control arm reinforcing plate, then out comes the axles for some welding and a nice coat of paint. I just like having things to tinker with all the time. This axle is my inspiration for my truss purchase. Looks really clean.
  14. Got my military battery terminals in from Prime 4x4, its always nice doing business with them. Also made a fender mounted ground cable for the heck of it. Ta da, all done
  15. Mine makes the same noise when I start it up most of the time. I think its the Vacuum transducer (round black thing with vac lines connected to egr) making the noise.
  16. Haven't really got to utilize JKS quick disconnects since I didnt have anyway to tie them back. Went to tractor supply and gathered up what I need to make retainers. I got 4 feet of wire but I really could have got away with using 3 feet. Had to drill a hole in the passenger side fender under the battery tray. The driver side already had a hole that was easy to use. Sizing up the cable All finished and excess wire trimmed, and wire pulled out of the way for daily driving.
  17. My old group 58 battery took a dump this morning, almost made me late for work. Had to wake the wife up at 4:30 this morning and take me to work  Went to napa and got the rebadged Deka agm battery, its a group 34. Just need to get a set of military terminal clamps cause i don't trust the top post ones I have now to not hit the hood.
  18. Good choice on the currie set up!
  19. Arms are installed, and let me tell you cutting off the lower control arm mounts with a grinder and sawzall is the biggest pain in the @$$. Thank god for Milwaukee blades. Got to do a final adjustment on Thursday then it's off to the alignment rack again. I will say there is def an increase of road noise since the crossmember arm connection is right below the cab now. I guess no carpet makes it more noticeable.
  20. Got the crossmember installed and welded today, ran out of time to get the rest on. Used this rustolium for the first time and its pretty awesome
  21. As far as the height I'm right were I want to be, I still have decided if I want to keep 33s or step up to 35s. I'm happy with the 33s right now and they have alot of tread left. The Clayton crossmember uses 4 of the original crossmember bolts and then its welded on the 3 sides on each end of the crossmember. The siders are Trail Gear universal fit for toyotas. 67" length
  22. Its because I have to weld the ends of the crossmember to the unibody frame.
  23. What the no carpet people out there doing about cab heat. My Mj gets so damn hot in the summer cause of the transmission tunnel. I don't plan on putting carpet in so something not too tacky looking would be ideal.
  24. That's a good idea too. I'm usually like you but I could handle them being to one side this time lol
  25. Here is a pic from the rear of the light. Not sure if that is the view you wanted though. Also....UPS brought me some new parts!! :)
