  1. I was thinking about getting the Serious Offroad UTK 1-ton steering kit. Seemed like a very nice kit.
  2. Ok thanks. Ill have to fiddle with it on my day off. I figured that the stock steering could reach but for some reason to me it just seemed like there was no more up travel left in the joint where the drag link connect to the knuckle.
  3. When I adjust it will it put the steering wheel out of wack or will I be able to keep it centered without playing with the other tie rods?
  4. I put a track bar on after the pic was taken. It's an iron rock adjustable with 3/4 drop bracket. The pitman drop arm I got is about a 2.5 or 3 inch drop from crown auto.
  5. So you think it's the tie rod holding it back? To me it feels like the drag link joint at the knuckle is what's keeping it from going up any higher. I did buy a drop arm but I'm leery about putting it on cause of the side affects I have read about the drop arms. I want to do it the right way.
  6. I recently leveled out my truck that is SOA rear and 4.5 springs. I added ACOS spacers and then tried to reconnect the draglink to the pitman arm and this is what I ended up with: My passenger side TRE is seeming to be maxed out and it leaves me about 3 inches short from the pitman arm. Am I missing something or is it time for inverted T setup? I want to stay UTK.
  7. Anyone have a factory radio that works they want to let go for a few bucks? The ones at the junk yard are all water damaged. I need the brackets too.
  8. Looking to buy some ACOS for the comanche.
  9. My comanche is sitting about 2 inches lower on the passenger side. I'm suspecting its the front passenger coil but I'm not sure. Rear is SOA with 2wd leafs. Front has 4.5 coils that I think are rustys but I'm not sure cause they were on the truck when I bought it.
  10. mine with 2wd leafs
  11. ok update, it rained two days ago again and it still leaked. I now know it isnt the sliding window. To me it seems like it might be a body seam of some sort leaking? I looked for a broken seam but couldnt see anything strange or out of place looking. Any ideas??
  12. Ok a little update. I got time before I went to work to check out the window and there are in fact about 5-6 weep holes at the bottom of the frame. I tried to take a pic but the angle is weird. The holes are about 2 inches long and angled on both sides. I took the air compressor and blew them out.
  13. No the vent windows are fine on mine
  14. Its an 89 so its getting old. Havent been able to check out that yet, could be a possibility.
  15. That was my first reaction, I was like I gonna call tomorrow cause its still leaking! But when i looked closer the area round the seal wasnt wet looking but the felt frame the window slides in was soaking wet.
  16. I been tracking down leaks in my comanche and two weeks ago I had my rear window professionally taken out and resealed. Fast forward to today, we had a hard rain and lo-and-behold it leaked again from both bottom corners somewhere. I think it might be the actual window track filling up with water and leaking in. I tried to do some google research and it seems some trucks have window track drain tubes but do the comanches? I didnt see where one would be. the water is traveling down behind the first metal panel on the rear wall then to the floor. Any ideas?
  17. like title says I need the battery old down clamp set up for my Comanche.
  18. Beats me, but I think I may have come up with the fix. I'm gonna recut the hack job so its even then weld a washer with a captured nut onto the post so I can mount a generic bump stop. Then to take up the rest of the space I'm gonna get prothane spring inserts. I think that will do the trick.
  19. yeah just a sloppy cut job
  20. So I bought an 89 Comanche with a lift and who ever put the lift on had the bright idea to hack the front bump stop mounts off half way. Was wondering what way I should go about fixing this. Just reweld a pipe over the existing one? I can get a pic tomorrow of the situation.
  21. Looking for good AX-15 to put manual trans back into my 4.0 4x4 Mj. I'm in Georgia but willing to drive for the right price.
