  1. I would talk to Brett. he seemed to know alot when he came and bought my 2wd Eliminator, which is the one he is turning into the street machine. Alex
  2. i did not think of that. also make sure you take pics. i am thinking about doing this in the future and all the pics the better. Alex
  3. Well here is one of my senior pics from two years ago also. I will have to try and find a closer shot. don't have that hair style anymore and the truck is now dual exhausted out the back and has the side trim on it now but thats all that has changed. Image Not Found Alex
  4. drilling them will be your best bet. then just re-rivet them or bolt them back in. Alex
  5. I will get full specs of it along with future ideas posted once i get it back home and mess around with it more. but no it is not a front 97+ clip. it is just missing the corner marker. also as for the bully bar, once i get it home it will get turned more into a roo bar down the road. just weld some bends onto it so it wraps around the nose. it comes with a chrome rollbar to put in it.it also comes with tons of other spare parts that once me and my local buds pick through the rest will go for sale on here to try and make up for the money spent on the truck. Alex
  6. HEMI - I bought that shirt off EBay too along with a dealer ad booklet. lol. but as for our shirts i like the flex and "only in an MJ" logo on back and the CC logo on front breast idea. I think we need a poll of the 4 best designs. idk. Alex
  7. neither of mine turned back. they turned forward to accessory before turning further into on. Alex
  8. OK, first off I was not sure where to post this so move it if it must be moved. I am just wondering where I can get a set of these for the new MJ I am getting next Monday? Anybody know of anywhere? Quadratec use to carry them but they do not anymore. I tried EBay because I saw them on there once but cannot find any. Just looking for them before I go pick it up so I have both lenses on it before the trip home. I want the clear ones because I think they will look good on it. What do the rest of you think? And yes Pete and a few of the other older members, that is Rob's 91 MJ Eliminator. Alex
  9. yes i would assume that that would work. i have not heard of anyone doing this yet and it would need to be looked into more. the problem with the factory MJ one was that it either applys too much or not enough pressure to the discs since it was made for drums. that would be something to look into for sure. i might get on that and see what i can turn up since it might be an option for me not too far doen the road. good idea. Alex
  10. ok now we are talking. if you are going to do a disc swap then you need to swap to an adjustable prop valve or do away with it. an adjustable one would be the better choice here. the factory one was made for drums and will not work correctly with discs. now I'm not sayin it won't work somehow with some mods or something but it just wasnt made for discs and an adjustable one would be the way to go. Alex
  11. the xj only has one prop valve. go with a newer one 97+ and they work great. i had a write up on this somewhere. :hmm: Alex The MJ only has one proportioning valve, too ... the one in the rear. What is the proportioning valve in the XJ is nothing but the brake system warning light switch in the MJ. There is no proportioning going on in that front juntion block. i knew that but for some reason wasnting thinking when i wrote that and it came out wrong. :dunce: Alex
  12. i only have the plastic flares on my 86. i then used stainless bolts, fender washers, and lock nuts to connect them. will get pics once i get my truck back from the shop. Alex
  13. good for you hotrod. o wait look i just did it too. lol. jeez Alex
  14. thanks boiler74. now i don't have to go look up the price on those. same for me, WAY too much for those. Alex
  15. :hmm: Must be a contest. :agree: :thwak: well while you guys have fun counting posts the rest of us will be doing jeep stuff. but i think i will just sit back and watch. Alex
  16. i know a few ppl that run Rough Country setups and love em. Alex
  17. my insurance is really cheap (around here) for mine. mine is an 86 4x4 and i am only 19. the price is $60 and it is with drive. they seemed to be the cheapest for basic ins for these things. they were even cheaper for my 2wd elim. might be something to look into. Alex
  18. and on the back we could put an "only in an MJ" logo. sounds cool. I'm in. Alex
  19. i might have to look into those. what site did you find em on? Alex
  20. Why the need for the newer one? ok i still can't find my write up i had but here is a page that will help on this topic. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... ve&start=0 i can't remember y the newer ones were better. if i find the write up i have i will post the link and i think it said in there y. i do know it had something to do with the xj only haveing one and something to do with discs i think. another good option is an adjustable one like is mentioned in that link. ok well here is part of it. still no reason to go newer except maybe for it being in better shape and the chance that it wasnt defective as some of us have found out. but the XJ only has one line going to the rear brakes. the thing to do here is to use an XJ valve and run one rear line back. not sure if this was stated before on this post but the second line for the MJ rear is a safety line incase you lose your front brakes all pressure is applied to the rear, IIRC. it is not wise to run lines back without the valve because then there is a better chance of locking up your wheels, which as we all know is not good on ice and snow or even on wet pavement. so what you should really do is use the XJs setup or use an adjustable valve which i think would be the better thing to do here. expecially if you are going to do the disc swap now or later on even. here is a good one i was pointed to when i was asking about this. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=60086 as you can see once eagle jumps on this one it will be all over. Alex
  21. man sounds like you are lucky the thing didnt roll or anything like that. i am still waiting on my mj to return from getting new brake lines. well good job at keeping it "alive". Alex
  22. Jeff, can i get some better pics and info on that bumper? might look into moding the 91 i am going to be getting here soon that needs a rear bumper and i really like how clean and simple that looks. thanks alot. Alex
  23. the rears from an xj will not work no matter the year or style, only the fronts. i hear/saw that yj or tj ones look good as long as you don't mind doing a little bit of moddin. Alex
  24. the xj only has one prop valve. go with a newer one 97+ and they work great. i had a write up on this somewhere. :hmm: Alex
  25. haven't had much time for it yet, but it's doing well. still on the lookout for some new doors. gonna make a roll-pan for the rear soon. rocker repair soon. paint soon. lol. it had a roll-pan when i bought it. too bad i didnt hang on to it when i took it off then you could have had it with the truck. alex
