  1. ok well as most of you should know i am buying Robs 91 Eliminator. i am going to try my best to finish the projects he was working on or was going to do. since my laptop fried i can't post any pics of it and the parts except ones i have on photobucket. so here is what i have: 91 as it sits right now at Robs house Image Not Found XJ Control Center, i am going to hook up what i can untill i can get the money rounded up to find an XJ that has/had one of these in the JYs and grab the axles so i do not have to drill holes in mine for the sensors. look for the write up for this this spring/summer. there is also an XJ headliner counsle that has the temp/compass in it that will be going up. (pics on laptop) i will also be ripping the carpet out to por-15 and rhino line it so it does not rust again and i can just wash it out after a good mud bath. holes will be drilled in the low spots to fit TJ plugs then those will go in. Alex
  2. i really like to color and look of it. how much lift and what size tires you running? Alex
  3. very nice. welcome to the club. Alex
  4. well i am trying to figure this out so joe knows what to do once he gets his hands on this thing but since it is still in my hands i will ask. the problem is with my 86 2.8L MJ. (i know i know someone will say its because it is a 2.8L) but the thing if i drive it for over 30 mins it starts to hesitate, like it is not getting fuel or there is air in the lines. i am debating if it just needs a new fuel filter or if it is getting vapor locked. it will run good for the 30mins but then after that it hesitates bad. it has only been doing this for about a week. and it started after i filled it up out of one of the farm tanks. so that is what makes me think filter. but none of the other cars/trucks or even the tractors around here do it. so there is where vapor lock comes into play. either way its an easy fix just i would like joe to have an idea about what it is so he can just get it taken care of once he gets it. let me know what you think. Alex
  5. I'm game. sounds good. Alex
  6. That is great ^. but i liked the whole thing about it being the hummer ppl being rich stuck ups that are also pc nerds too. WAY TO GO PETE!!! and i think we all owe you one of these. Alex
  7. man he has been busy this month hasnt he? what a moron. did you see how bad that MIjeepshop page got it?!? how childish can some ppl get? Alex
  8. man this throws a wrench in our plans on stickers a t-shirts. lol. Alex
  9. hey anything under the hood looks good as long as you keep them clean and neat. but anything under the hood has to be better then a certain V6 AMC used in the 80s. lol. na it does really well for me but i like any big engine in an MJ. if i can ever find a running Jeep 401 i am going to put in one someday. Alex
  10. Pete, did you contact your host or whatever you call the people that this site is registered with? Alex
  11. if you look in the memeberslist pete is gone and replaced by croconile. this idiot also sent me an email that was stupid as hell. made very little sense. Alex
  12. i think it is that iamsamiam guy. he sent me an email and it made no sense. sort of like spam. the way he was talking his 85 MJ ( ) has an ext cab and the rest really didnt make sense. plus it is in all caps just like his post in the classifieds section. who knows. Alex
  13. and he changer TECH to HACKED, and anything by pete is now his (i think) and he sent me a stupid email that doesnt make much sense. Alex
  14. well matrix has them but lightlens did not. they were 33 on matrix plus S&H and maybe tax. so i guess i will get them from there. thanks alot. i was having one heck of a time trying to find them, and the stock ones are hard enough to win on ebay or get in JYs around here. Alex
  15. very nice. bet she purrs like a kitten. lol. welcome to the club, our cult however you look at it. lol. Alex
  16. i will say it is sharpe looking. you might be the only one on here so far that has a more street mj going on. there is one being made out of my old 88 Eliminator by a member but that is about the onlu other one i know of. you gonna post the specs of that thing? Alex
  17. thanks i will have to check those sites out and see in the end where the cheapest ones are at. Alex
  18. i know, i saw that too. i thought the 4.0L was something AMC made off their 2.5L? idk. The AMC designed inline-6, 4.0L, which was named the Power tech six, was added in 87. Like the 2.5L AMC 4 cylinder that held strong, the new engine was based off the companys dated 258-cubic inch 6 cylinders. Unlike the 258 still continuing in the Wrangler, the new engine was Multi-port electronic fuel injection. Alex
  19. i was starting to wonder if anyone would notice that. now if that is the real problem or not it is hard to tell without being around the truck to see what else it might be i think. Alex
  20. well i have seen them work just like they should if a dealer for like rhino liner put it in, but i have also seen them start to peel after a year or two. so i guess it all depends on how clean of a work area you have, dust wise. just if you do it make sure you tape the edges really well so non gets under the tape. i am going to rhino line my floor of my 91 once i get it then take it to the rhino liner dealer down the road and have them spray it on since that seems to work better from what i have seen. Alex
  21. i would look into those except the fact that this surge came through the phone lines like the first time it happened about 4 years ago. only 4 years ago it hit our windmill right next to the house, jumped across to the boxes on the side of the house, blew them apart and burned the sideing, then blew apart the boxes that were inside the house. that time it fried my moms desktop, killed a few tvs, and killed almost all the surge protectors but those didnt help any since it was a direct hit. Alex
  22. :agree: :nanner: all the way. Alex
  23. man why is it i can't find those rims? lol but very nice looking 2dr you found there. little advise though, don't do the tow hooks. go with a front and rear hitch. they can handle more since they are tied into the frame better. Alex
  24. How the hoof does it know axle fluid levels...? i will let you know once i start to put it all together and start a thread on the 91 in the projects section. Alex
  25. ask mjeff87 for a list of parts if not. he told me the list back when i was asking about doing that. he has a really good pic of all the parts you need spread out also. Alex
